Is there anyway to filter novels by country of origin? For example i just wanted to look for reincarnation novels and i clicked on the filters tab but it won't let me filter the novels by country. I don't want to be spammed by JP novels because they almost always have 'dense' mc.
No matter how much we beg, Tony refuses to allow this. You can use the novel finder to search by country, but it's just not the same.
Is there a problem with how they designed the database? else it would be a simple sql query if there is a table column for country of origin.
Nope. It's on principle. Something about being open minded or something. The best we can do is write up a browser extension to filter out any lines that say [CN], or is your case [JP]. Oh yeah, you can also have it display the country of origin if you go into your use settings. That can alleviate the problem a bit.
Oh yea. i remember abit about that issue. I swear ive read that somewhere in the past. I think i've had countless opportunities to learn new stuff/technology, if only i wasn't so lazy and actually bothered to learn and do them then those couldv been new additions to my resume. I've played tribalwars where to be efficient, you basically have to write a script yourself(within game rules ofc) to manage 100s or 1000s of villages. then again i could always start now. better late than never. im off to google how to write my own extension.
Nope, tony just says "I want people to discover new stuff, so I won't" or w/e (Honestly I haven't seen what he's said personally, that's just what mods have been saying, so either I just haven't see his post somewhere, or he's just said it privately to mods before or w/e.) Anyway, the tl:dr is this: "Nope." And the reason? "I don't want you to." p.s. that said I personally hope that with enough complaining maybe some day it will happen

There are a few really good CN novels that I've found though. and the most japanese like novel I've read so far is a chinese novel.
Have asked for this several times. So many times that i infact have come to terms that it will never happen. But could be atleast get a way to show CoO beside their names? So i can manualy avoid them from the update list instead of having to click on the name scrool down and see ''oh its Japanese, dont want to read it''.
I just tried it. I don't think it is working well. There's basically tens or hundreds of reincarnation stories in CN but it only returned me 4 stories. I tried OP tag and it returned none. That's almost impossible as OP is a very trendy tag nowadays.
You are probably using the filter wrong. Did you check the "Chinese Novel" box? If you did, you're excluding all Chinese Webnovels. Try checking the "Chinese" box on the language options, this should be enough. Also, I think most Chinese Novels use "Transmigration" and not "Reincarnation" (I did a quick test and found 3 pages of Reincarnation and 14 pages of Transmigration), so you might want to search for that instead. For the record, I got 3 pages when searching for Overpowered Protagonist.
