For 6 months before the ML finds her, An Ming and Zheng Man disguise themselves as brothers (I think, I only skimmed this part).

She actually still sah silver coins on her, so when she sees that the gambling for virgin women who fell on hard times could be really lucrative, she decides to join and earn some fortune but planned to pull out before receiving a woman.

These kind of frequent gambling tricks kind of lead her to saving some poor virgin pretty boy’s butthole from being sold, and at later times she picks up more stray women. At her halfway house of sorts, she lives as a male and becomes a father/husband/big brother type ish figure for the people she interacts with.

The stepmom and stepsister self destruct bc remember Zheng Man is a fortune star and the Zheng family started doing well after she was born.

They try to approach her when they are going through financial help bc they recognize her on the streets but she threatens to tell her father (who doesn’t know she’s alive, the 2 steps approached on their own) that the step mom was the one who asked An Fa to throw her in Yan Ge’s courtyard in the first place.

Stepmom is shook and leaves. (Bc Mc also warns her that ML offered to drive Zheng Fam out but she had told him not to bother)

ML’s people obstruct Zheng Fam from visiting MC so the Zheng Fam self destruct on their own without her fortune and help.

 

How did ML find MC after she escape??

And why did she save An Ming?

 

His men see An Ming wandering around alive, so Yan Yunge knows she must be nearby, finding her by tailing An Ming.

Zheng Man gets outraged that Hao Dao is going overboard using her life to barter for Yan Yunge’s secret techniques, but Hao Dao’s like “no no, I just wand a small favour of you and I’ll give you a lot of yellow poison pills.

Zheng Man self appointed herself as the spokesman for Yan Yunge, something which Hao Dao is grateful for BC Yan Yunge is uncommunicative and impossible to work with.

Zheng Man demands to hear the “favour” Hao Dao wants of them first and warns him she won’t allow him to take advantage of Yan Yunge in any way. Hao Dao promises he’s not cheating YunGe with his offer.

YunGe basically doesn’t comment, but finds it stupefying how she’s so protective of him right now, when the last few days Zheng Man Man was the culprit who’d been getting kicks out of provoking him, annoying him, and then following up with her “be nice, I’m a sick kid” act.

Zheng Man Man and Hao Dao decide his fate, and Hao Dao reveals that he needs them to move to a different location, and promises the new place is bigger and more comfortable.

Zheng Man says it’s possible, but only for 100 of her medicine pills. Hao Dao is like “lady do you KnOw how expensive that stuff is?” But Zheng Man Man is insistent and starts to return to the house, implying negotiations are over.

In his desperation

(Hao Dao is pressured by people having found out Hao Fam is housing Yan Yunge and he needs to relocate them)

Hao Dao grabs Zheng Man’s arm and she yanks away lurching forward, and suddenly he’s pulled forward in the yard with her

(he usually sticks near the iron door where YunGe’s chain can’t reach him)

Next thing he feels is something cold on his neck. Zheng Man Man has a dagger against his neck, and she’s just like:

That night Zheng Man starts to unbutton her clothes, and Yan Yunge’s like “are you brain dead ?? Hao Dao is right there” and she says she doesn’t care, the candles have already been blown out so he can’t see anyway.

She doesn’t want to sleep in layered clothing as it’s a summer night, so Yan Yunge gets up and blindfolds Hao Dao with his clothing belt, and then turns his face towards the wall too.

Zheng Man Man finds this funny and pitiful, and then the two undress and get to sleep in each other’s arms.

Google translate, surprisingly this novels been really easy to read by google mtl. I’ve only been editing the He/she pronouns.

Zheng Man man’s names confused me at first bc when they don’t spell her full name it can mean “Right” “quite” or “pretty”

And Yan Yunge’s name means The rider literally translated, bc he’s in a a cavalry. But aside for her name, it’s really easy to understand.

 

I remember mtling this but stopped at some hundreds chapter (?) Bcs they just wont get married or break up cleanly. Sex here and there, his mother want to make her into concubine she refuses. Somewhere along the way she acquired a junzhu (or was it legitimate wife???) Title. An ming become her follower/assistant, saves 4 girls who were abducted and auctioned at brothels. She give them choice to go back to their old life or temporarily live with her until they become independent finacially, safe and sound blablabla. One girl is a retard tho. Have a very, very, very annoying and ungrateful personality. The others are fine.

 

Oh also, an ming betray her eventually(?) For an fu (who is a prince of some other country? Or something like that). Tho an fu became kinda disabled, somehow caused by MC (not sure).

 

I'm around the chapter 110 - General Lu made an appearance caused some drama between FL and ML.
I'm curious, what are An Ming's intention towards FL? Why was he so nice to her? Was it just because he is a nice person? Why did he follow her after escaping? If he was An Fu's people then shouldn't he go find him ... =\ Does he like FL? so confused @_@

 

An Ming is just a decent guy who happens to be working for an ambitious boss. Its like when random mob bad guys spare protagonists secretly bc they dont actually want to follow gruesome orders. He doesn't have any real intentions towards her, he's just too softhearted which could get him into trouble.

 

Yes since it is a chinese web novel, it sadly doesnt escape heavy fillers and stretched out story.

Ch web novel authors get paid by word count or something, so it is normal for them to have slow development in order to make the story last. As well chinese readers have commented things like "i dont even start reading ongoing novels until they've released at least xxx chapters" bc its the norm for them.

Their relationship in a modern sense, is one of girlfriend/boyfriend except the boyfriend wants to get married and become an official couple, but she just wants to stay unmarried. She does not want to marry for various reasons (wants to be an only wife but does not trust that ML can understand or follow that through especially bc he is royalty and she is un named and uncultured),

(she doesnt like the restrictions on a married female, bc if youve read doomed to be cannon fodder or any kind of slice of life where a female isnt domineering and rule breaking, women in that time period had A LOT OF RULES)

 

Which makes me wonder will they ever get married in the end lol
