They were so powerful that they fought each other, slaughtered each other (such as during the war between the variants Sapiens and Neanderthalis) and still have enough strength to kill off the mammoths, the dodos and the elves. I call nerf.

As a human, I don't think we need to be nerfed. If anything, I think it's too easy for humans to become completely useless if you don't start working toward a powerful build from childhood.
I like how he teaches everything as if it were a game. That aside, someone should seriously write a 'Game Elements' novel using this guy's info as a base...
Humans are not OP. They just cheated themself access to the inventory, which is not completely implemented yet.
Dodos actually went extinct during the last millennium... so humanity at that point was already well establish as the dominant race in this world. I say individually most humans are pathetically weak, but when gather into a group and form societal structure like Ants that is when they start becoming OP.
they're not OP, the devs just forgot to turn darwinism back on. once that's fixed, the problem should sort itself out.
what about the micro organism. they are the ultimate players. rapid evolution yields exponential replication, mutation unlock, resistance upgrade which can evolve to immunity, targeted infection, stealth, ect.
Think about it from another point of view, the entire history of life on earth is millions years long, and we are undefeated for 5000 years ~ Do you realise how small is that ? How many other species before ended up extinct even tought they were at the top of the food chain ? If a big volcano erupt human would go almost extinct. Or a meteor. Or a climate shift. Many events can happen, only from our point of view we don't need to be worried about them because they don't happen that often.
there are far too many stupid people still roaming around for that to be true. at the very most, it's been nerfed and set to easy mode.
