So i was thinking of reading renegade immortal but was hesitating since there is no "romance" tag. However, there is a tag "slow romance" so I was wondering if there is actually romance in the novel? If there is, how late does it come into effect (the couple gets together for real)?

Same thing with every family member or friend he meets that are mortals or of lower cultivation levels. 'being a renegade immortal while watching everyone else die as i suffer mentally but then slaughter some bitches'.
two words: it sucks. from what I remember it takes around 300 chapter for him to meet female lead, around 500 more chapters for them to meet again. stopped reading after that. in story time, he takes more than 400 years to meet her, after meeting, he takes more than 100 years to find meet again... too much time since I read it, the years maybe a little inaccurate, but not much. of course the cliche first time aphrodisiac night happens too.
Spoiler: question Are these clones also battle capable and are they special in any way, like his ancient god body? Can he fuse them all to be OP?
i don't really remember much as i read this when void was translating xian ni. they should have some of the battle prowess of the original. actually, slaughter in ISSTH is one of the clones if iirc. you don't really find out all this till the end.

The purpose of this is to allow slaughter to undergo numerous dream reincarnations to find a method to revive his wife. Which means prior to the story he was already a 4th step being. So he is already op. And according to what i read he has several bodies in accordance to the essences he gained insight into. He has a five elements body a slaughter body( slaughter, absolute beginning, absolute ending, restrictions, lightning). slaughter body is op. he also has his great reincarnation body (Life and death, karma, true and false, reincarnation.

The dream dao was used by slaughter again and again to figure out the correct method to revive LMW.
