Discussion Game lvl or cultivation system?

As stated in thread which system do you prefer to have or read? and why?

I want also more generally knows whichever ssystem growing you prefer
AS for some poeple DIFFerence between cultivation and rpg is:
IN Cheat RPG= Ya defeat spider/snake/tiger/bear/elephant/T-Rex/dragon ya get respectively points exp-lvl higher up the stronkeryour opponent was. Da stronker opponent da more ya power-UP
IN non=cheat tRPG Ya defeat spider/snake/tiger/bear/elephant/T-Rex/dragon ya gained only skills or EXP that ya earned or further mastered during battle
In Cheat Cultivation Ya defeat spider/snake/tiger/bear/elephant/T-Rex/dragon ya gain only beast Core or\and meat or Beast core to gulp down
In non-cheat cultivation Ya defeat spider/snake/tiger/bear/elephant/T-Rex/dragon for SHOWING OFF ur mastering your techniques

In Cheat Cultivation ya eat mushrooms or ginseng in morning at lunch beastcore soup with pills for better digesting and at night some ghost-souls nourishment for spirit enhancing in the night
In non-cheat Cultivation ya still has some {plot armor} hulp assistance to... become stronker

 

You could even combine them as each realm has 9 layers. Body preparation 01-09, qi sensing 11-19, qi ocean forming 21-29, forming a core 31-39.
with everything that ends with 0 being half-step or pseudo realm.

 

If I were to cultivate through eating, I’d have the ability to surpass even the most OP instant power up cheats. The only problem/hinderance to my cultivation is finding enough food for me to eat.

 

I like grinding and dislike when MC just lazes about for no reason when he has such a cheat. Shadow Hack is such a story... One of the best cheats, yet I always feel he doesn't use it well. That and the author can't explain stuff well either.

 

The strongest system or ultimate scheming system type of system.

Either something like both grind/kill or one that can get you anything for it's own currency

 

What about a RPG skill system where you have to reach a certain level of insight or mastery to level up a skill. Instead of a skill being activated automatically, or giving automatic correction, it is simple knowledge inserted directly into the subconscious. In order to learn and eventually master the skill the person must meditate and practice it. Once they reach the required level of mastery the skill will level up, and more advanced information is inserted into their subconscious.

The entire point of a system is to "assist". Like anything, unless you fully understand the mechanics behind it, you'll never be a master that can go beyond. You'll always be a slave to those few presets.

Honestly, it's fun to read about the scenarios such MCs get into with their systems. However, for someone who really got one, they shouldn't follow that trend. It's a system. Thus, it was built by someone. How can you be Supreme if you just follow the presets without putting any effort into gaining knowledge about the mechanics behind them? Eventually, you'll reach the peak the system can give you and want more.

What happens then? You'll have already wasted the time when you were weak and not learned the basics. Now, it'll be much harder and much more noticeable to whoever built the system that you're wanting to go beyond. They might humor you, or they might take all you were given away. Then, what will you be left with?

 

Like Strongest system or something like that the mc is super op he has many relationship friend he is vindicative as fuck and his way of talking is really good

 

In a story: Hard work/Grinding
In case it happens to me: Easy Cheat/Insta-OP.

 

in some way i think that the cultivation system is almost the same to the rpg system..... i mean cultivation you rank up, in rpg you level up, in rpg you have bonus of status, in cultivation your body and energy is upgraded; the only difference i think is the way that you level up, in cultivation you learn about <insert (DAO/Martial Arts)> and in rpg you level up by killing....

 

If I were to read, I like bitter cultivation.
For having I’d like eating, one cause it easy, two cause I love eating, 3, instead of inta-op, I think finding the ins and outs of the cultivation system or at least, how it would apply to me would be quite interesting. And I dunno what the insta op would do to me, so taking it one step at a time to specifically choose what I want would be a fun idea.

 

I like the RPG mechanics since you'll get used to the improvrments and make quick decisions rather than having an OP body. It isn't fun when your powerful at the start but working your way up to the top, achieving all that hard work and become powerful without any assistance other than hard work. Sure having OP cheats and having cultivation is better(one can be powerful while the other being a god and all) but what if one day, all that cheat abilities suddenly disappear? Or someone can steal cultivation from you(or just plain seal your cultivation?). Grinding maybe tough but they can never take away the effort and even be powerful enough that even if someone stole your skills, they could never experience how to use your body anyways.

 

What if you can only get stronger by cheating money out of people? Like if you swindle a 1000 people you are decently strong. Swindle a billion people and even God would call you daddy.

A system like "AKASHIC RECORD" from Everyone Else Is a Returnee. That would be nice.

 

They are literally the exact same thing lol.
So I don't have a preference, though I do quite enjoy when they are combined.

 

I like God of Soul System but the translations are poor.

 

I shall let you see the difference with example:
Jin is a very young child(-reincarnator) in rpg-world like with lvl 3 who has a very stronk grandpa that dotes him. So grandpa gives him a present: a binded dragon
So option:
d1} Jin lvl up to 675 lvl with all dragon skills
d2} Jin tries to cut off dragon head but the scales are too hard to pierce through them. So next day grandpa brings binded spider/snake/tiger/bear/elephant/T-Rex/dragon; Jin slaughter them respectively until he cut off dragon. In one day Jin went from lvl 3 till 567 lvl
c) Jin needs to battle equal or bit stronger opponents to improve his stats
e) Jin was blessed by goddess and can borrow her power with unlimited MP supply
f} Grandpa gives Jin a smartphone

Qin is a young child-cultivator who has a very stronk grandpa that dotes him. So grandpa gives him a present: A beastcore of Tian azure Dragon
a1} Qin while eating blows up due too much qi consumed
b} Qin directly breakthrought to Core formation stage
e} Qin aquires Wang Lin inheritance and steals Meng Hao Legacy and Luck and stumbles Supreme Dao puppet as his personal guardian
f} Grandpa gives bead and scroll
