I started MTL for this novel... Beginning already made me laugh lol. Setting is like this, sorta: MC = skeleton = Anzi Lou = shou ML = Gao Song = gong ML is in zombie apocalypse. There are ability users by the way (as is usual for Chinese version of this setting). He's been betrayed by his comrades and is desperately trying to survive despite his injuries. Just as the zombies are about to get him, a big golden whirlwind/tornado shows up and knocks them away. This is MC -- who is a trusted skeleton subordinate of his lord and somehow ended up going through some kind of spatial tear/portal to this world. It's kinda difficult to tell, but MC's boss seems to be a lich or something who took human form (or in MC's words, became ugly. LOL). During a fight or something, boss dropped some kind of precious golden pellet or jindan type thing that MC tried to save. In the process of saving it, MC got warped to zombie world. MC saves ML because ML looks like his boss. I.e. 'ugly' person. Because I don't think MC knows what looks good for humans. XD MC wonders how his boss got so weak suddenly, but protects him like a good subordinate. The golden jindan thing also ended up getting partially absorbed by him -- he turns into a golden skeleton. MC is also trying to beef up his unreasonably weak 'boss' by using all sorts of cultivation type tactics -- all of which ML absorbs like a sponge.

Yup, MC is intent on protecting his 'boss.' Their communication difficulties are hilarious (before MC could speak). MC (at least before speaking) doesn't really teach cultivation. It's more that he throws ML into nutritious body refining fluids and things like that. XDDD Funny scene: MC was trying to eat, but food just keeps falling out of him because he's a skeleton. MC gets angry. Then ML constructs some kind of bag-stomach so MC could hold the food in. ML ends up watching MC fondly, feeling like he's taking care of a cute kid with brain problems lol.

I skimmed the ending (HE). There's... a lot of 'eating' going on, judging by that married couple fight they had. All their underlings know that their usual fight involves ML doing the MC a little too hard/much, resulting in MC getting in a huff. LOL
