    The one with the cicada dragon. Semi Datte Tensei Sureba Ryuu Ni Naru. Whole novel had a very light tone with some slightly gray undertones, but the last couple of chapters just straight out rips out your soul from your still living body. You could probably finish the novel in 30-60 minutes, so i'd recommend you to read it right now.

    Edit: Mulberry Song is also great, that ones just fairly sad all the way through iirc.

    Saddly I don't have any sad novels, but I do have one anime that made me cry this was only time I have ever cried watching anything ever.
    It's called majors. it's an anime about baseball, but it much more than just baseball.

    I heard 'my life' is set in the modern world where nothing goes as the MC wants, has no plot armour, protector, strong points, people throwing themselves at him.
    Really sad story
