Had a question about when MC gave JC his core and later on JC found out. Was ML also there when he found out? What was his reaction? (Also what was JC's reaction too lol)
MC was injured and he passed out; ML is holding him while being very angry at JC for attacking MC. He even yelled if I remember correctly. WenNing interfered and told JC everything but JC didn't believe him naturally, so JC gets angry and went around making people pull out MC's sword. ML is inwardly shocked and he even asked WN how they operated on MC during the boat ride afterward. MC wakes up and felt sorry that he dirtied ML's clothes. Again. lol

I'm so hyped up to read this part of the novel <3 I'll read it all over & over again just so I can relish the feeling of the truth finally being out in the open and to read JC's and Wangji's reactions. But! The new chapter though! Chapter 56!! We got so much info regarding JC's and Wei's parents!! And by the end I learnt Wei is definitely mommy's little boy! Wei Wuxian -- promised JC to be his subordinate -- broke it & broke JC's heart -- got together with Wangji -- rode off into the sunset with him ZangSe SanRen -- Jiang FengMian most likely fell in love with her -- got together with his loyal servant instead -- probs left him with a bittersweet heart -- rode off into the sunset with her partner The both of them sure love breaking Jiang sect leaders hearts & riding off into the sunset with their beloved partners
Also I think Wei Yings father was similar in personality to Lan Zhan (at least in expressions), that's what I got from MTL, correct me if I'm wrong though....

It was a memory that Wei Ying recalled about his parents, other than that I don't think anything about them was mention, not that I know of. From what I get Wei Ying gets his personality from ZangSe (mom) cause in the past his mom shaved Lan QiRen goatee and Wei Ying did the same during his time studying at the Lan Sect lol. No wonder Fengmian had special treatement towards Wei Ying, he reminded him a lot of his mother
