Anyway, we finally met some sensible nobles! Yeah, they may be trying to deny Darcia's enoblement, but is for actually good political reasons instead of just plain racism. And is nice to see someone thinking of the "what if" of the situation, yes, is pretty easy to attribute all the things that Van have done lately as exagerations or someone else being behind it considering his age (11-ish right now ?), but he actually decided to investigate some more, meet them and ask some question before waving it off.

And Sauron! He finally realised he may have screwed up! He even assume that the undead army is Darcia's/Van's fault and is reminded that Vida did something similar in the past (I still think that U!Zakkart was a Live-Dead instead of a zombie)! Of course his domain has been alreadyb labeled as "no good" like Hartner's so it may not matter in the end.

Let's applaud Katie for giving the well thought answer of just sincerely apologies to Van and the titans. And then procced to try to ignore Roddy's message. I liked how she sounded tired of all of it, just trying to continue her life as if nothing happened but knowing that she will most likely be dragged back in. She also does mention that instead of marrying of she would prefer to fight so maybe we are getting Princess Knight 3.0? Unless I read that wrong of course. About her skill, did not she mention projecting herself from 5 minutes in the past in front of her? Maybe she can show images of the past via her skill within a short range as mentioned earlier.

EDIT: Gizania is also technically a princess, and so are Van's "sisters" and the Gehenna Bees that are his "daughters".

 

As a bit of a general comment on the latest chapter...

When we first heard about the Orbourne Kingdom, it sounded like there were Vida race members ruling some duchies. However, I don't get that feeling at all from the latest chapter and instead it feels like humans basically run everything. If any exceptions get introduced they seem likely to be minor.

I had to LOL a bit at the Sauron Duke realising he was just about to send a request for help to the very people who were controlling things in the Scylla region.

I wonder what attitude Van will take towards immigration and the like. Will he actively promote migrating to Talosheim (and the Vidal Empire) to the general population in the Kingdom? Or will he prioritise the Vida races who generally get treated like second class citizens at best or monsters at worst. I expect that at least publicly he'll start with fairly harmless things like food and trade.

One thing that's safe to say: the amount of interest in Darcia and Van is going to sky-rocket. In a way, the current Alchrem Duke doesn't have to do too much since he's already on Van's side now. He's made the main decision and now he just has to try to survive with his sanity intact.

 

Because of the reincarnation circle and the high number of alda believers who'd try to infiltrate and give intel to Van's enemies, it shouldn't happen anytime soon. Instead he will probably use Alchem duchy as a gathering point for human immigrants while mixing up vida's races between Vidal and Alchem according to their wishes. Like that he can get the inhabitants used to living with them as equals and weed out spies.

And the spies won't just come after Van, but also his technological advances. With the merchandise from Vidal coming to Alchem the duke profit a lot, attracting people, merchants and other duchies hoping to get some of the good stuff too.

 

Who are they? Can someone elaborate them please.

 

Van's "sisters" are the girls he used his pseudo-reincarnation technique on, Juliana as the half-minotaur and the other one (who's name I presently forgot) who reinarnated as a half nobel orc. After they each reincarnated, Van basically adopted them as his sisters and everyone closely associated with Van, including Darcia, fully acknowledges them as his sisters as well. So, basically, Darcia adopted them on Van's word.

As for the Gehena bees, after Van pseudo-reincarnated Quinn, the Gehena queen bee, all of Quinn's children consider Van to be the "king" of their hive and several of them actually refer to him as their father. Even though Quinn reproduces asexually, due to Van's close interactions with her and her close attachment to him all of her children consider Van to be their father and he just goes along with this for the most part.

Technically, you would have to be a melee class combatant to be considered a "knight." So, that would mean Zadiris is the only princess mage.

(And, as a mage, she is so freakishly powerful that I think only Van could be easily considered better than her, although I think Darcia may be able to compete on an even level and you could possibly consider her superior if you consider the fact that Darcia can use every element except the death attribute, and she uses most of them at level 10 with the only one that's not Lv. 10 being an ascended skill. (I think it was life magic.))

 

One point of correction, I think the author uses earth bees as a base for Gehenna bees. Quinn mated with a drone once and then stored the sperm, using it to fertilize her eggs as she produces them like real queen bees do.

 

No, that's likely from before her reincarnation. Nowadays she reproduces completely asexually.

 

If we count undead too we should add the tiny genius Zandia, second princess of talosheim.

 

Except Zandia is the warrior, not the mage. Zandia is the one who Van is always admiring the muscles of... At least I think that's the case. I may have them reversed again. I keep getting the two mixed up, but so far I've been trying to keep Zandia straight from Zadiris by constantly reminding myself that Zandia has muscles.

I think the bees do not consider Vandalieu their father individually, but rather as the "father of the race." Just as Vida is the mother of the Dark elf and the father is a normal elf, Vandalieu is the father and Quinn is the mother of the Gehena bee.
