As the tittle says, do you know any good chinese series? A brief description and genre would be appreciated too. The newer the better but old is also fine. No drama or romance please, that is everything google gives me when I search the same question and it is not what i'm looking for. Movie recommendations are also appreciated. Edit: if you have a drama that is so good you have to say it then sure, but Id prefer it wasnt romance focused.

If you haven't then- "Demi-Gods and Sem-Devils" is so good. Also, I suggest- It's a very good representation of "Romance of the Three Kingdoms". I return to this one on occasion, the depictions of many characters are so good that you find yourself really empathizing with even people you normally don't like in this story.
Die Now - MC enters a survival game in an alternate universe. Sparrow - Spy stuff set in the 1930's. Decoded - More spy stuff in the 30s, but MC is an autistic who slowly overcomes it and becomes a superspy. Kinda like Good Doctor, if you have seen it but with spy stuff. Secret of the Three Kingdoms - Historical. The puppet emperor dies and is secretly replaced by his secret twin brother who has lived all his life without knowing. Really good, intelligent characters, strategies and plots.
How about this version of Journey To The West? I find this to be the most enjoyable version. The special effects are kind of wonky, but the story itself is fun. It's Cantonese, but since you don't speak Chinese, you won't mind, right? This was made during the days when Hong Kong filmmakers still had fresh sense of humour.
