These are originally from an audio so I'm actually not sure if I got it right I'm having the most trouble with the first line--- Help is very much appreciated! Thank you! わらめ 笑い声 に 周りの 景色 が 変わる 懐かしい あの 場所 に ここ は どこ
The last line is the easiest. Literally translated as “here is where?” Most translations translate it as “where?” or “where am I?”
My dictionary doesn’t recognize わらめ, but the second part of the first line is literally “in a smiling/laughing voice,” meaning, probably, “with laughter in his/her voice.”
Third line: “to/in that nostalgic place.” The line is missing the verb/context, so I’m not completely sure whether it should be to or in, but it could also just be because I was always pretty bad at participles.
would it not be less guessing to post the audio? anra's answers look right for what you have, but mebbe hearing the audio would eliminate the "im not sure if i wrote it correctly" part.
Some context would a huge help here. No idea what "わらめ" is supposed to be. For the rest, it sounds like someone's laughter is causing the scenery around (subject) to change into a place in (subject)'s fond memories. Like a hallucination or dream. Either the scenery change is confusing or the speaker doesn't know where the place they're remembering actually is. But yeah, without context, it's all shots in the dark.
Thank you for all the help~ Will try to post it in a while my net is kinda bad rn so it won't post earlier;; It's actually happening in a dream- the speaker has lost her memories too--
The first line doesn't even make sense, but 笑い声 could be just 'laughter' 'The surrounding sceneries are changing' 周りの 景色 が 変わる 'To the nostalgic place' 懐かしい あの 場所 に 'Where am I?' ここ は どこ
With a smile in her/his eyes & laughter in her/his voice, the surrounding scenery changes, to that nostalgic place, Where am I? Still iffy about that first part but this makes the most sense to me, really need the audio for some context. P.S: just noticed it kinda rhymes.
I disagree with the 'With a smile in her/his eyes' because in Japanese it be like 目が笑てる. But who knows since the person who posted this, talked about the errors they might have made in the first line.
Hello! Here's the audio~ I finally got decent net I hope you guys can still help me will link it because I don't know how to attach it here or something--- https://drive.google.com/open?id=1MotC3oFY57eEYgmaW3HJB6EzmR0zB1Y8
The song really does say わらめ But the closest I found that makes sense is the word: 童女 (わらわめ) which means "little girl" Or it could possibly be a contraction of 笑(わらう) and 女(め) to make "laughing girl" since songs and kanji can just be a mess of everything >.> Reference: https://dictionary.goo.ne.jp/jn/238752/meaning/m0u/
I thought I also heard it wrong but I’ve been replaying it like a hundred times already but I still hear the same thing
わらめ could be a made up word from the songwriter and also it would be better if we had the actual script; I never heard the word わらめ used in public. By the way based on google translate which you should never trust 100% it means stupid or straw, so it will become like, 'Stupid laughter in the changing sceneries. To that nostalgic place. Where am I?' Doesn't make sense to me. I agree So, to some it all up in this comment, わらめ is the problem.
What is the name of the musical? I actually want to know since that line makes me confused. Also, the time stamp when that line is spoken would be helpful.
