I tried reading the series close to two years ago and got to like chapter 200 or so before dropping it as I just found the mc to annoying as he couldn’t even make it to the bathroom without offending someone or being offended so I wanted to know for those that still read the series does the story get better or is it still crap.
I think it consistently gets worse with every chapter. It's actually quite impressive how bad it gets, it is a proverbial train wreck which can be hard to look away from once you reach a certain point.
I guess MadHatter hits a point there. I believe It's only about the story itself and showing the MC evolve without caring much about the style of writing. For me as I don't give to much about grammar, a huge variety in words and the likes it's good enough to enjoy it. I only like to see the potential of the MC blossom. Appreciate that or not. It has some mad mind-blows to come and chapter 200 really is just the beginning, but the style of writing stays the same.

I made it to about 490 and i had to drop it because i just couldn't take it anymore. every single chapter the same phrase kept popping up over and over again. It went something along the lines of "they thought he was trash but they didn't realize he was so powerful and they were the trash instead." it was something like that but those are probably not the exact words. I wish the translator had dropped this in favor of devouring the heavens because i thought that was a much better novel by comparison. instead of the other way around.
It is one of those rare novels which are consistent till the end. It is consistently trash, but consistent nevertheless.
