If MC didn't find a solution to his short lifespan, that mean he's dead. It was solved around chapter 700, so if he didn't find a solution at chapter 700, there wouldn't be a chapter 1000.
Wouldnt have been the first time a mc died and then came back later. Some stories even straight up kill the mc and then focus on another character.
