    Similar writing, yes. But none of them have the same grittiness or personality of the MC. Author started pandering to the demands of the readers and his MC's kept getting more and more of a joke and shameless over time.

    Well, let's look at ISSTH, where he has the whole shameless smile and extort people thing which escalates, although it's still fine. But then you get to AWE and you get a little fatty MC who is afraid of dying and even more 'humor'. I'll finish Renegade Immortal, dropped ISSTH around 700 and i am never going to read AWE.

    Yeah i was considering it, but i did hear the ending as less than satisying so i'm still on the fence about it.

    I think they're not satisfied because of a kinda anti-climactic ending. but I think the purpose of the ending was to connect to his other novels.
