Any spoilers about this one? Like will the prince take her with him? ...or will they meet again in the future? If he marries someone else as an official wife and has her as a cucumbine it would be intresting since she is funny
I remember bits and pieces of it since it's been awhile.. (I read it in 2016) Spoiler - yes he takes her away with him - with the help of a man she met that knows the ML during a small dinner party, she escapes - she uses something that makes her ugly and hangs around in a casino(?) someplace relating to gambling - the ML people finds her and takes her back to him - she stays at his kingdom for awhile and does work (he gave her some position women don't usually have) since she's good with numbers/math and creating things - ML has a teenage son (I think the ML is over 30? I don't recall. I think the MC mention the ML must of had his son when he was 15 or something) - son bickers with the MC a lot, develop feelings, ends up accepting her as his future mother (I forgot what happened with his mom) - don't recall her position if the MC became a concubine or the ML's queen but the MC is actually a princess - the man she met previously who helps her escape is actually her half brother (they both actually didn't know this till later) - Finds out the MC's idenity isn't the idenity they originally thought she was - The concubine of the ML actually eloped(?) with a man and swapped with the MC (which is how she ended up being where she was at in the start of the novel) - The empress dowager(?) said something that hurt the MC's feelings (I think it relates to having the ML accept more women (and a few other factors) so the MC left the kingdom to go back to her own kingdom - Empress dowager try to convince him to take in other women, he refuses. After MC ran back to her kingdom, he fell into depression(?) so she stopped nagging and wanted the MC to come back. - MC and ML meets again (forgot how) - MC and ML meets the ML brother after some misunderstanding when the MC was seen being held by the ML's brothers lover. She finds out he's homo. She congrats him and his lover making them feel accepted - MC makes herself ugly again (forgot why) and is kidnapped by an emperor(?) of another kingdom - although she was ugly, he self proclaimed her as his queen (forgot why) - he has trust issues due to everyone, even his mother/concubines, tried to kill him - she later escapes with the help of the ML - the guy actually fell for her. He finds her again and recognized her because of her body scent - he burns down his castle and leaves to try to find the MC - later ends up dying, asks MC if in the afterlife if she can love him. Due to pity, she says yes and kisses his lips(?). He felt happy then died (I honestly felt some pity towards him too) - MC ends up ruling her kingdom - ML comes and sticks around in her kingdom because he misses her - due to young age (MC terms) whenever she sleeps with the ML, she takes birth control kind of medicine - he demands a child out of her but she convinces him otherwise It may not be 100% accurate and I'm probably missing some details but that's all I can briefly recall.
I think you guys should give this one a try! I remember liking this book =) It's not melodramatic, I think it keeps it's comedic style throughout.
