Oh I see. I just read somewhere that Scum Villain and FOD's BL element will be removed so I thought that's a standard practice with adaptations of this genre. Maybe I just misunderstood
This is the basis for many people to explain the prohibition of homosexual cultural is forbidden by Chinese law,however… That is to say(I am too lazy to translate so many words…), those are no legal utility at all,It's just an industry self-discipline. So,BL novels can be adapted to make plays and animation.

I thought this was going to be a bl animation too but it is not. The anime is shounen but nothing more. There isn't any kissing or anything else. Just their friendship or ambiguous relationship, if you will, is depicted. My bad. I just noticed this thread is a year old and this has already been answered.
