If you study stats, this is probably one of the first rules, and probably the most important rule, that you will learn. It has been brought up in several threads here in NU as well. Just today, my professor introduced us to a site that puts together stats from random sources that have high correlations. Some examples are... Number of people who drowned by falling into a pool VS Films Nicolas Cage appeared in Spoiler {} Per capita cheese consumption VS Number of people who died by becoming tangled in their bedsheets Spoiler {} Are they correlated? Yes. But is one the cause of the other? They might not, but you can't say they aren't completely either, no matter how ridiculous the comparisons are! So yeah, the site is over here. Now, go on and bombard your family or friends with ridiculous facts!
These correlations may be on to something. Spoiler: Internet Explorer and Murder {} Guess waiting for Internet Explorer long enough will drive anyone to murder. Spoiler: Science and Death {} Now I add this totally legit poster to this correlation like so~ {} It all comes together.
all birds can fly but a penguin is a wrong kind of bird . therefore some birds can fly but some birds are wrong desu the wingspan of a flying animal allows it to fly but bee's say fk that and flies anyway therefore science is wrong desu long story short darwin is wrong and evolution only happens when they get exp desu
so. . . where are the, Strength, Agility, Dexterity, Vitality, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Luck. . . . I don't see them . . .
Is there a correlation calculator where I can graph stuff like this made easy? I don't feel like going through the actual work to look up stuff.
