Once you're adapted to reading MTL you have hundreds of completed novels lined up and waiting for you.

 

There are a few ways to read for free, one of them you already stated that it was a waste of time.

Some of these ways consist of:

Daily SS, which takes one day of waiting and only allows you to read one premium chapter if lucky.

Gift codes, which is impossible unless you partake in events.

New accounts and spam the beginner free SS.

Last but not least, pirating.

I'd rather read on their app, which has a better platform for reading, than QiU.

Your life, your time, you decide.

But then again, I don't read anything on Webnovel, so I'm not wasting any time. It was only a suggestion.

 

What do you expect, its a business.


It seems like Tencent is getting pretty anxious, with China Reading's profits.

Well... If a translation is removed from the original website in order to be published on Amazon and Amazon ONLY, it's still a kind of paywall.
A cheaper paywall but a paywall nonetheless.

 

OMG why does every day mean yet another 1-5 Qidian thread on NU? Doesn't QI have their own forums? Can't we ban all Qidian threads or at least have one thread where everyone can post on Qidian? This entire Novel General subforum is becoming nothing but QI, QI, QI, all day longevery dayay!

Books are a luxury not your birthright.
You don't see anyone clamoring for 99 cents cars.
I know arts are not appreciated but you only have to see the original novels on QI to know writing is not as easy as it looks

This. That people are too stupid to see this baffles me.
Then again the average age on this forum is younger than I initially thought.
But I also read Rich Dad Poor Dad at age 10.
I wonder what's their excuse for stupidity?

 

I know you all think you are so very smart. So answer the following.
Does Amazon pay translators? Editors? Does Amazon sign authors to write books?
Qidian I don't even consider a publisher in the traditional sense but Amazon is the farthest thing from a publisher.
Calling a bargain bin website a publisher is the epitome of tomfoolery

 

If you are willing to waste your time with this why not just read from the countless other (pirated) websites?

 

why continue to advocate for piracy when it is the fastest route to having noone willing to create content for you? It's a clear case of being too clever for your own good.

Wasn't QI paid tler by chapter? Pirating, in this case, doesn't hurt the tler, they didn't get a single thing from the "premium to support tler".

 

1. Them doing the new account trick at least give the website traffic
2. You kinda suggest them to read pirate sites

 

Eh, wasn't he simply saying that cheating the system for endless SS isn't much better than pirating?
That kind of statement can just as easily come from someone arguing against piracy.

 

It's cheating alright, but at least they read on the original website. The authors can also see how popular their novels are and be happy if they got a lot of views, dunno how much qidian would compensate but maybe the authors would also be happy and more motivated if they see a lot of people read their novels?

 

I'm not so sure that Qidian is all that happy about people flooding their site with fake accounts.

 

I'm pretty sure they can at least boast "More than a million registered members!!"

Consider this my friend, all their content is licensed, their translators paid and they pay for their servers.

They also update almost every day.. each novel.

So I ask you.. why did you expect it to be cheap?
