Ok, I have some more heartbreak to discuss. Re-reading the novel for the 3rd or 4th time haha, anyway. The peony as I mentioned recently, was thrown at LWJ from WWX, well it apparently landed on the side of his head, that's where WWX drew the flower on the picture he made as a joke for LWJ in the beginning of the novel. Another thing, when he gave that picture to LWJ and then switched out the book with the porn, LWJ just kept repeating "Get lost" when WWX asked him to be his friend. It's heartbreak if you know when WWX repeats that "get lost". "Wei WuXian replied, “What was he like? Ha! Didn’t you guys hear that loud shout he gave?” Nie HuaiSang was full of admiration, “I heard it—he told you to get lost! Wei-xiong, it was my first time hearing Lan WangJi tell someone to ‘get lost’! How did you do it?”"
The book said about Wang Lingjao that "She used to be a maid of Wen Chao’s principal wife. Since she had quite the look, she got into his bed after exchanging a few looks with her mistress." so Wen Chao will have had multiple wives, not just one. His principal wife was most likely fine with Wang Lingjao's relationship with her husband. Yep, being married to scum like him would surely be hell. His wife was probably absolutely thrilled to have somebody else like her maid spending time with him. There's no doubt that he was a serial adulterer, but in this case it must have been good news for his poor wife/wives.
