I’m so confused about the preceptor’s plan. What is she going to do when Xintong is stronger and decides to go look for yi yun. She’s just signing her own death warrant

This is a classic (if overly stereotypical) mentality for self-rightous vilains to fall in love with whatever explanation suit them best, and become blind to other possibilities. They decided that YY was weak, and that LX would forget her mortal attachements, because they want to believe it.
We all know how this will end for them. A short but intense date with Yi Yun's pointy object.

 

I could never understand how people like that can be called genius

I explained somewhere in this thread once that stacking thousands of years of closed cultivation only decreases their (cultivators) EQ. Like, any social skill and human understanding would just go wush-away after a hundred years or so of not talking to other human being. Less you talk with humans - closer to animals you become. Sooner or later they end up with beast-like relationships of predators cause it doesn't hurt their brains.

 

Nah, juniors are as stupid as the thousand year olds. It's just that characters need to be stupid so that there can be face slapping to pander to the readers' fantasies, and the smart characters can only be as smart as the authors are, so they are generally pretty dumb anyway.

 

She's not actually planning to kill YY until she confirms that LX doesn't care about him anymore. I think her plan now is to capture YY on the chance that LX doesn't care about him at which point she can rob and kill him. If LX does care about him then she can walk it back.

YY doesn't want to kill them because they're the backbone of the empire now. He'll probably only kill them if they're completely awful.

The Juniors are generally much stupider than the old monsters. The juniors tend to walk into suicidal situations on the premise that nobody will harm them because of their backing. The juniors are usually the ones starting the situations that drag in the old monsters in the first place.

 

Lingluo may not be planning on killing YY right away, though I think she does want to to try and prevent LX from finding out and possibly "relapsing" in her view and caring about her past, so that would be a motivation for her to try and kill YY quickly. Kunxu however, explicitly wants to kill YY to steal his treasures, and Lingluo is willing to go along with it

 

He just mentioned the intention to put him into the dungeons not kill him. At any rate, the plan is likely still to feel out LX to see if they can kill him. They're putting themselves into a position that favors what they want to happen but aren't doing anything irreversible.

Even if soon is 10 chapters from now, it will take around 2 weeks for us to get there.

 

The showing part will also take a lot of time, with all crowd reactions and villain point of view, you know.

 

I don't understand, last chapters yi yun said he was so passive because "he did not wish to hinder her coronation". But in this chapter preceptor and bluefeather just clash with their imposing might without creating any trouble.

Yi Yun should be more powerful than any of the 3 preceptor, isn't it? They act like that only because they think he is very weak, so he just need to release is might to show them they are completly wrong without any need to combat them, no? Knowing that the coronation is in a few hours they wouldn't cause stire with someone hypothetically stronger than them, who is still the husband of the futur empres and especially with all the guests that there are currently...

So, this plot is really forced or did I misunderstand something? (or Yi Yun like being treated like shit?)

 

He always waits instead of preventing the conflict in the very beginning by showing his strength. It happened so many times it's just a part of his (absence of) character, there is no point in questioning it.

 

I don’t think he’ll be more powerful until he makes his own divine seal. Right now it’s approximately as strong I think. This plot is kinda forced since the preceptors are making conflict out of nothing

Nah he was able to fight 2 top DL and exchange injuries with them before his own breakthrough and complete body transformation to chaos something one. These preceptors are nothing much since any random DL is stronger than them.
Besides, YY doesn't need to be stronger than then, being as strong and showing it is enough to stop them from bullshitting during the coronation.
