Should I read ATG or not?

Wuxiaworld hosts a bunch of better novels than ATG. If you're just looking for something to read because you're done with ISSTH then there are a ton of better choices on that site alone.

 

1.If you dislike harem don't read.
2. After that fire sect arc most people dropped it, before that ISSTH and ATG were the top two best novels around.
3. The author is good but he gets paid by the word after like 400 chaps he starts repeating a lot which is annoying has hell.
4. It still a good read, but since that awful arc people rage a lot on it.

 

If you are okay with the author trying to justify rape, go on..

 

hmmm... it's not terrible, but if it ever finishes, I can say that I will definitely never reread it. Pretty much everything that the MC achieves, it's either luck or 'talent'. There are a couple exceptions, but yeah, that's the gist of it. I believe the old 'aphrodisiac poison that will kill if not xxx' trope is used at least twice. MC is basically an immature, suicidal lecher, as far as his actions go.

 

I read 800 chapters of ATG. I can say this, if you want a harem where the MC is treated like the best alpha male in all of existence? I mean, sure....he gets all of the jade-like beauties that are "unobtainable" by others. Guys perverted as all hell though. Got boring and repetitive after a while. Basically, MC travels, finds beauty, courts said beauty, leaves her to travel again. That's simplified, but it's a wish-fulfillment novel. If you want something like I Shall Seal The Heavens, read A Will Eternal.

 

The first 200-300 chapters were pretty fun. If you go longer than that, prepare for disappointment.

 

Read it for the harem and loli

 

If it was a couple of years ago, I would've replied yes but nowadays there are fantastic novels worth ur time....

 

like others said... try it then drop it when you want since some parts are pretty interesting... I dropped it at around chapter 910 xd

 

Against the gods is by no means a great novel but it is not a bad novel either I would say read a hundred or so chapters and if you still like it then might as well keep reading the story.

Some of the things I like about the series is that Yun Che is overpowered in his own realm and can fight with others a few great realms above him.

Can be ruthless at times when needed but is not to the extent of MGA mc who I didn’t like

I personally like harem in novels and the girls who are in his or future members are quite strong especially jasmine

The beginning is quite good. Then there was the first tournament, one of many to come. So many fillers during tournaments arc, so many crap to go through. Anyway, it's still ok.

 

If you like face slapping and harem (with a lot of girls). This is for you

Read it... Definitely should read it.. Really great novel
but if you are type that would complain for slow releases and dragging out some scenes you should wait for a few more years for the novel to completely finish publishing and translating.
