According to @vrotki the voice actor should be the same. Makes sense, I would think at the voice acting auditions you would need to demonstrate how many and what type of voices you can portray to be chosen. Actors are quite amazing really.
WWX was the Founder of Diabolism (he was the first one to do so in this cultivation world). So he will be the one create dark arts manuals and weapons eg. Chen Qing, the Stygian Tiger Seal, the compass, the evil luring flags and so on.
I believe the papers he found was someone’s incomplete studies that the brilliant WWX used to complete the demonic arts I guess.

Just finished watching episode 14 and 15, I love the fact that they emphasised the importance of the Sunshot Campaign and WWX's descend into being the Yiling Patriach, but I personally like the novel's endings for WC and WLJ better, for me, the gory details of their sufferings are justified for all that they have done to WWX, JC, and the Jiang sect.

He’s so cute! I really like JGY. He certainly deserves what he got in the end, but I’m so sad it had to be that way for him. I likely would be a lot like LXC and try to help him to the very end, I really sympathize with LXC over JGY.
