Yikes guys, I can hardly find a thread that isn't full of people complaining about how lazy the authors are, how dumb the characters are being, or how entitled the translators/authors are acting. It seems that no matter how well I think the novel is done, there is always some touch noodle screeching about how bad it is. I think it would be fine if they presented reasonable arguments along with examples of novels where it was done well, rather than just yelling insults at everyone.

I'm hoping that I was just walking through a cloud of toxic gas, I'll soon be back in clean air where people can be happy and enjoy their hobbies. But for now I'll just fish for people to defend their claims, and try to justify the constant complaints they're making everywhere. Also, don't down vote every comment you see just for fun.

 

I dare you to read a thousand chapters and then drop a novel for a stupid reason.

What do you expect from us internet dwellers. People here will literally complain about how a pornographic video doesn’t have enough plot and rate it 1 stars if it was here on NU.

 

In olden society, those that didnt understand their position and complained about things that could be far worse, and complained without doing anything no less, ended up being culled one way or another.

Sorry, I kid. Sad fact is, most people are quicker to write up a thread about a negative than they are a positive. If it's positives, they enjoy themselves and move on with their happy day. If it's negatives, they feel the need to share their opinion a bit more frequently. That's pretty much a normal thing for most stuff.

Where is the vote down button i don't see it... and no i would not like some cheese with my wine. And just becuase people are bringing their toxic gas cloud with them wherever they go doesn't mean you gotta breathe in their toxicity.

Everyone has a Dao, only by falling we can learn. And like, this very forum was made to let people rant out all their emotions, both good and bad coexists in an endless cycle. You shouldn't judge books by their covers.

 

Why else would books have covers than to judge them by it?

And yes, some writers are lazy. It’s fucking annoying to read their novels. I mean these novels with female lead mc’s. The ones where the mc is a doctor/alchemist. If you’ve read one, then for the majority of the others you could get away with not reading a big chunk of the beginning. It’s pretty much all the same. If the writers are going to copy others then at least they could be a bit creative and add some interesting changes to the chapters~

Is it the first time surfing the web? The forum on Qidian and here on NU is quite regulated and the toxicity is non-existent. Your real question should be why do people continue to read bad novels and leave acid comments on each chapter if they hate it that much. I find the fanboying version of how people love this and that every chapter much worse.

 

The first ones were good but after a while you can simply disconect your brain while reading them to prevent those unnecesary rage filled moments where you fcking yell about how fishes have more IQ than all the characters combined...

 

Yep, you guys should try playing LoL, after a week or so your toxic resistance would be raised to Lvl MAX

 

Same with the toxicity level probably. That's how it went for my brother anyway.
