How Do People Vote For Novels Without A Review

Is it only me ,but why do some novels have like 300 star votes with just like 40 reviews isn't that unfair.
Do some people have special treatment where they can put a rating without leaving a review?

 

You can rate a novel without leaving a review. I do it often with novels I read. Simply because I suck at writing.

 

Writing a review is optional its not something you can force with your big boy brain on ppl to do cuz you want it

 

You don't need to put a review, just select how many stars you want to rate the novel then done.

 

Just click the stars you want to give, you are not required to leave a comment thou ... mainly because i suck at commenting ^_^

You don't know how to rate without a review, meanwhile I dunno how to write a thread...

 

Do you know how long it would take to write a review for every novel you read? I don't coun writing, "It's a good novel, try it," as a review, so it would be pretty bothersome to always write a proper review. I don't even rate the novels I read, but I know there are some who only write reviews for the novels they love or hate. And it's not like you'll read every review of a novel before trying it out yourself.

 

Often I rate but don't leave a review because everything has already been said. And it's not like people read all the nth reviews before deciding to read a novel or not.

 

It's like how the customer service industry works, you'll leave a great review if it was excellent, approaching the best you've ever had; or if it was crap you'd write one... I normally let novels sit for a good 100 chapters and see reviews then/ how the ratings are.

It's down to ease of access, hit some stars or take 5-10 mins out of your day to write a review.

there are people who rate and review, people who review and dont rate and also, like you mentioned, people who rate without reviewing.

I rarely write a review because I'm not really good at writing. I more often rate a novel (a long one) after read min. 70-100 chapters + spoilers

 

It's all about clicking that pretty star button!

The problem with writing a review for a series is that unless you have a lot of opinions in regards to the various aspects present in the series, your review for it would be quite short most of the time. By that I mean writing a review consisting of 1 to 3 sentences. Furthermore, unless people find a series to be particularly good or particularly bad, it is unlikely that most of them would be able to write a detailed review for it. In fact, if you had seen some of my reviews which are mostly very detailed, I can tell you that I can only write such detailed reviews because I either really like or hate the series I am reviewing.

 

Not everyone wants to necessarily put a review. Sometimes it's too much of a pain to make a proper one + taste is subjective, some'll agree with you and some will do the opposite. A quick rating is plain easier.

 

Not like it matters at the end tho, ratings are useless here afterall

yep! simply, sometimes when I get too lazy to write a review.
It's not mandatory to write, so it's okay : )
