In reading Chinese Shoujo, Josei, and BL novels, I’ve noticed that whenever there’s an illegitimate child (adoption doesn’t count), that person is at best an antagonist. Out of curiosity, are there any novels (preferably Shoujo, Josei, or BL), where the illegitimate person isn’t evil? It doesn’t matter to me whether the person is the MC, good to the MC, or just plain indifferent/neutral, but I’m curious whether there are novels like that. Thanks for the help!
My Wife is a Beautiful CEO Spoiler MC's wife, the CEO, is an illegitimate child from the prime minister It's not a shoujo tho
It’s good to know that there’s one out there! I probably won’t read this as there are several tags I’m not interested in, but I’m glad that there’s at least one novel. Thank you for answering!
I forget the name but there was one of those female transmigration novels where the female lead's friend sort of throws a fight and it turns out he was dueling his illegetimate stepbrother, bbut when female lead was offering to attack the kid he said no the kid is not at fault its bc of the dad's slag like tendancies and he feels a bit guilty towards the kid so they both get along fine albeit a bit awkwardly.
The first one is in my “interested” list, but I haven’t read it yet. Glad to know it has a recommendation, thank you! It sounds interesting. If you remember the title, please let me know!
Opps, I misspelled her name. https://www.novelupdates.com/series/legend-of-concubines-daughter-minglan/
Looks interesting. I’ll put it in my “interested in” list and take a look once it’s further along. Thanks!
Where do you draw the line of "illegitimate child"? For example, in CN settings, any child the clan does not acknowledge would be illegitimate. If that counts, than things like Miracle Throne (MC) to Tales of Demons and Gods (that dragon angel guy) to Paradise of Demons and Gods (MC).
