Time to bail out of discord. I don't use it that often anymore to care. Also, discord tend to be a place for circlejerking. Also, CMIIW, it's owned by Tencent (or its subsidiary)

Close, but no cigar. It's owned by GREE which is operated by, surprise surprise, GREE Inc. And what servers are you on that its just circlejerking? That sounds like quite a bit of confirmation bias and a large generalization.
Well, glad I'm wrong then. As for circlejerk, i don't know, i just got that vibe. I mean, you can only enter a channel by invite. That makes it a closed group where people with only the same opinion can enter. It's not like a forum where everyone can enter and view even without registering. That makes the channel a stagnant pool.
The only servers I'm active in are game servers with public invites available though... I think there are 2 types of discord servers, closed ones made for close friends, and open ones made for people that share interests. The closed ones are meant for people that already know each other anyways, so they don't really want anyone else there, it's basically a group chat with your friends. The open ones generally have people with disagreeing views on them though... Like, sure, they're still limited by the tone the server owner wants in the channel, but that's quite different from getting stagnant IMO... Maybe you just got unlucky with the servers you went to? Though I guess I never tried going into a big server, big places scare me... *shivers*
No, actually all discord server i joined are nice and have no drama as far as i know. It's just me being paranoid i guess...

Paranoid me would read whatever data it could collected in the name of service once. Then i learned to just random whatever data i could input altogether. No need to really read them anymore.
You can email [email protected] and say you'd like to opt out if you want to maintain your rights. You have to do it within 30 days though
There are people like me who actually write those ToS'es and User Agreements. I'm too lazy to dig into it too much, but this arbitration clause would likely be applicable if Discord would screw you not only over your personal information, but more or less everything else. So I would actually recommend opting-out.
It doesn't really make a difference for me because I'd never try to sue discord regardless of what they do, so I don't really care if they are immune to a specific type of lawsuit or not~ I don't mind if they leak or sell my personal information either, the only meaningful information there is my password, and that would only become available to others if there was a problem in their system, so... I don't really mind it in the end~
