Yeah, but this post wasnt about other original novels being stolen (atleast not mainly), it was about a fan translation getting stolen. And thats got nothing to do with Qidian, outside of their disregard for the situation. Which isnt what a lot of people in this thread is complaining about.

What originals was stolen? Ai-chan has a few stories on royalroad and Ai-chan won't be pleased if they're stolen.

It's been more than a month but nothing has been done. At this point, I just want a publisher to have the balls and enough evidence of copyright infringement to sue qidian. They need a lot of face slapping for their shameless attitude.

yes it is. It's about QI stealing works. When wuxiaworld went after them legally for their crap they mentioned that a translation actually counted as the translators intellectual property. They can legally retranslate on their own but using hers would be theft.

 

As i said before, it's not Qidian stealing the translation, it's the dude who uploaded it. Which op also said. Which is why this should stop trying to be an anti-Qidian circle jerk.

One i remember right now is the snake report. In it when the author was complaining, the comments below mentioned others who had their stuff stolen.

Yet they refuse to take it down when asked and make money off of it. That is theft of intellectual property.

 

QIDIAN in a nutshell

 

Hate on the right people aka qidian, not only because they don't monitor stuff like this but they allow it. Many of these 'original novels' have been reported but do you know what happens? NOTHING.

 

A non-native stealing TL content of JP novel and posting in a C website... when it comes to greed, it seems racism is not an issue~
On a serious note, why is there a JP novel in C hosted website? Is the administration of Q I that awful at managing contracts and legitimate sources of content, or as long there is profit to make, nothing else matters than C site making profit via loopholes?
GG original content makers, because at least R R L did a better job at copyright issues.

 

I check both work at QI.it seems he/she did stated for both work is not her works but she should at least contacted original translator if she want to post their work somewhere else.

 

Like it's never happened before. There are several novels like that, be it original novel like Forgotten Conqueror, or translated novel like this in with. Just spam the review, and maybe, just maybe, they (qidian) will take it down from their site

 

That and give credit. They only stated its not my work and not my translation and that's it.

 

I wonder why some people really say Qidian is not to blame for this... Think about it: The poster of this won't get paid, but Qidian gets traffic AND ad-revenue, no matter if people pay/donate for it or not...

So the 'poster' simply doesn't have a financial interest in posting it... Maybe trolling/getting others to read something he/she is a fan of... but it'd be way more realistic if it's just somebody who pretends to be a troll to bring a novel towards Qidian without them having to pay or even post it "officially"....

I am not saying Qidian gave somebody the order to post it... But I am also not saying that something like that wouldn't make the most sense of all the possibilities I can think of.

 

Theres like hundreds of dummy account from Qidian on NUF alone.. much less their own site..
