Question QI now going into KR Novel???

    AFAIK The First Hunter is KR Novel but now they got translated by QI. Did QI already buy KR Novel license or actually they translating without consent of the original publisher?

    Yeah. We already had a major thread about this when it first happened. Not much was made available, just some guesses. Unlikely they're stealing though.

    Couldn't one of the people ask a KR translator to call up the author or publisher that QI is translating their novel?

    They have the license to translate the novel, it’s like calling the manager about an employee doing their job correctly...

    its because they are "webnovel" instead of "qidian international" now. they are trying to go into all translations. i also suspect they are going to cannibalize GT but wont know till much later if it does happen.

    However we don't know if they are actually their employee, just like most fan translator here aren't employee to a publishing company, so some clarification would be nice.

    They have a lot more Korean novels on their website now. I'm reading The Great Storyteller and it's actually really interesting.
    Also yes, they have the license. They invested a lot of money into Munpia so I'm sure that Munpia is willing to sell them licenses for some of their novels.
    The Korean novels are all going to be paywalled after chapter 40 beacuse of how the Korean novel payment system works. Just keep that in mind (so you can read on reddit or another website.)

    Wew I'm late into the convo then, just realized since The First Hunter is in my backlog.
    so can we expect to find more stable KR Novel translation now

    I predicted this before; that Qidian would stretch its vile and semen filled claws towards Korean novels. Nobody believed me.

    HAhahha. hahahah. They are 'going' to cannibalize GT, they've already fucking started. They stole Reincarnation of The Strongest Sword God one of GT's most popular novels and made it premium and then took GMC as well, I'm not sure about Age of Adepts or that empire building novel but I'm sure they're next/
