The story isn't anything special (I admit I read it for the smut) but it was still a good read. Synopsis: The fifth dragon prince accidentally touched a white tiger's buttocks... MC is a cute innocent silver dragon prince. ML is a bad tempered celestial white tiger with a position in heaven. Ancient times, Infatuated Shou, HE Part of a series Rough Summary of Entire Story Spoiler First meeting MC is still a kid dragon. He meets ML when he's playing in a lake in heaven. ML is dozing off at the side of the lake but suddenly feels something pecking at his tail. He doesn't feel any danger so he ignores it but his tail starts wagging faster. The thing(MC) realises that the tiger isn't dangerous and grabs onto ML's tail and takes a bite, and then lets go and splits in disgust. ML is unhappy but seeing that it's only a little dragon, he doesn't do anything. MC is found by the servants who are looking all over for him, and is distracted for a moment. When MC turns back to look ML is already gone, MC is really disappointed because he wanted to keep that big cat as a pet. 2nd meeting 100 years later MC has now come of age and is now allowed to travel around by himself. Meanwhile, ML is deeply worried because the fur around his butt keeps shedding and now he's bald around his butt. He visits Yuelao (god in charge of match making) for help. Yuelao tells him to sunbathe, and if there's an opportunity for romance, if he responds to properly, it will be beneficial for his cultivation. While ML is sunbathing, MC comes falling down from the sky behind him due to starvation. He sees that white thing in front of him that smells a bit like meat, and takes a big bite. ML is furious and pushes MC down. MC threatens ML saying that he's a dragon prince and he'll get his father to kill the ML. To scare MC, ML threatens to dual cultivate with MC, and make clothes out of his skin, and use his bones for soup. Right after ML bites MC's dragon horn, MC faints due to starvation and fear. With no other choice, ML takes MC back to his cavern. MC wakes up and sees ML and thinks ML saved him from the evil white tiger, thanks ML and then badmouths the evil tiger and says that if he finds the tiger he'll peel off the tigers skin and use it as a cushion. MC actually really likes furry things (because he's a dragon, he has no fur), but because of that encounter with the white tiger, he really hates that white tiger. ML decides to not to get even MC yet because he doesn't want other people to find out that he's balding, and records down the debt in his book. MC stays at ML's valley to heal his injuries (from falling down from the sky) but even after he's completely recovered, he won't leave. MC makes a friend called Xuan Hu. Due to Xuan Hu, MC realises that he's in love with the ML. Following the books Xuan Hu lent to him, MC starts courting ML by giving him presents everyday. Eventually ML starts getting annoyed at MC for giving him rubbish everyday and confronts MC. MC confesses that he likes ML. ML rejects him at first but remembers Yuelao's words and thinks that maybe it might help him with his balding problem and help him overcome his bottleneck in his cultivation and agrees to dual cultivate with MC. So they start dual cultivating (which ML seems to really like doing for really long periods of time to MC's dismay). They start sharing the same bed, ML is annoyed with MC's rambling and stickiness but still puts up with it, and lets MC hang stuff on the bed. He also teaches MC cultivation because he finds MC too weak. MC's friend Xuan Hu is too busy with his own matters and doesn't realise that MC is with ML until a year later. Xuan Hu is worried about MC and that ML is with MC in order to improve his own cultivation. Xuan Hu tells MC about ML's past. When ML was in the human world or something, he fell in love with someone called Xiao Yue. Xiao Yue was obsessed with cultivating, so ML gave up his emotions so that Xiao Yue could safely ascend. Afterwards, in the heavens, Xiao Yue retained his memories of ML and has been trying to get ML back for 200 years but ML continues to reject him. If ML is even rejecting someone who he once loved so much, there's no way ML will fall in love with MC, Xuan Hu thinks. MC is really sad and goes sleeping in a lake. After ML comes back from cultivating, and goes back to his room, he starts counting, waiting for MC to pounce on him but MC doesn't come. He's happy that he'll have some peace and quiet for a while but even when it's time to sleep MC hasn't come back and he worries that something might have happened to MC, but learns that MC is just sleeping in the lake and decides not to call him back. He turns back into a tiger and checks and carefully licks his butt fur which is finally growing back. His attention is drawn to the bells that MC hung by the bed, he pulls it down and can't resist playing with it like a cat, and accidentally breaks it. He picks it up with his mouth, throws it into his secret room, and goes back to sleep. MC doesn't come back for a few months. When he comes back ML is really mad with him for leaving without saying a word. ML didn't really care if MC didn't come back, without dual cultivation, he'll just cutivate slower but what he couldn't stand was that his butt area was going bald again. He was so depressed about that he almost went to the Dragon King's residence and snatch MC back. He punishes MC with a long sesssion of dual cultivation. First Kiss MC wants to go sightseeing to some place, to his surprise, ML actually agrees to take him. When they're there, MC tells ML to close his eyes, and then gives ML a light peck on the lips. Seeing ML's cold expression, MC awkwardly tries to explain, but ML suddenly pulls him and roughly deep kisses him. MC starts to think that he might have some hope, while ML absentmindedly thinks that kissing shouldn't make him feel anything, so his own flustered heart just then must have just been an illusion. MC pesters ML to paint of picture of him and a picture of them together. ML finally agrees to after they finish cultivating. ML draws a tiger on MC and is really happy with his own drawing. MC says it's ugly and looks like a caterpillar. The real reason MC was away for a few months was because he was finding a way to help ML recover his emotions. In order to do this, he needs to sacrifice his dragon's pearl and his cultivation. MC thinks it's worth it and leaves ML for half a month to complete the pill. Before MC leaves, he sneaks into ML's secret room and finds that ML has already painted him and is really happy and steals the painting. Half a month later, Xiao Yue (ML's previous lover) visits ML. It turns out that Xiao Yue looks almost identical to MC. MC also comes home a little later on the same day and comes across him. Xiao Yue makes MC think that ML is only using MC as a substitute for him and lets MC know that by imperial decree Xiao Yue and ML are going to get married. It turns out that the painting that MC stole is actually a painting of Xiao Yue. MC is really sad and upset. His body is also really weak because he exhausted his spiritual energy making the pill and rushed home without rest so he slips and falls backwards but lands into someone's arms. He hears ML's angry voice from the top of his head asking why he's wasting time standing here. ML had detected that MC had come back but seeing that MC hadn't gone to find him after after waiting for a long time, he went to find MC. ML gets mad seeing MC talk with Xiao Yue, as it's using up their time to perform dual cultivation and it has already been half a month. They go back to ML's room. ML explains to MC that that secret room is where he puts all his rubbish so that painting is rubbish and Xiao Yue can have it back. MC gets upset because all of the presents MC gave ML is in the secret room (in which ML responds with surprise, "Those aren't rubbish?"). MC refuses to dual cultivate with ML. ML continues to strip MC, and MC starts crying and won't stop, and tells ML that he likes ML, he doesn't want ML to throw him away and doesn't want ML to be with anyone else. ML doesn't see the importance in love and thinks that MC is still young and will eventually realise that love is unimportant. ML says that MC is really bothersome but seeing that MC's so weak, MC should stay by his side from now on and he will not treat MC unfairly. MC is still unhappy and ML doesn't understand why - he's already allowing MC to stay by his side forever, shouldn't he be at ease now? MC says that it's because ML's is using MC as Xiao Yue's substitute. ML finds that reasoning ridiculous, if he wanted to dual cultivate with Xiao Yue, why should he have to look for a body double? They dual cultivate once and that pill that will help recover ML's emotions falls out of MC's clothes. ML picks it up and MC tells ML to give it back and that it's his dragon pearl. (MC doesn't want ML to recover his emotions anymore because he's scared that ML will go back to Xiao Yue). ML returns MC's pearl by sticking it up MC's butt. MC can't get it out and starts crying because he realises that ML feels nothing for him since he's always bullying him and not respecting him, even if MC gave ML his greatest treasure, ML won't cherish it at all. ML thinks that MC is crying because it's painful having that pearl stuck inside him. He helps MC get it out using his tongue. After he gets it out, it's still on his tongue and he's about to give it back to MC but for some reason it gets absorbed into him. After a while, ML starts feeling hot all over, and thinks that that pill must have been an aphrodisiac, and since MC is so desperate seduce him, he'll grant MC's wish. While they're doing it, ML starts turning back to his original tiger form and can't turn back. MC is suddenly in a lot of pain because ML's jj is a lot bigger and turns around and realises that the evil white tiger is on top of him. (The aphrodisiac symptoms and ML turning back to his original form are the side effects to the pill, a pure immortal won't be affected, but a beast immortal will.) MC thinks that the evil white tiger has done something to the ML and says that he'll kill him. After a struggle, MC finally realises that ML is the white tiger. But his hate for the white tiger is still strong and calls ML a big caterpillar and stinky old tiger, a liar, an ugly monster and says that he's going to shave ML bald. ML says out of anger that he's only dual cultivating with MC because it can help his cultivation, or else he wouldn't be willing to be with a dumb dragon like MC. Bestiality scene... When MC falls unconscious, he hears ML say "Xiao Yue..." The reason ML said Xiao Yue was because Xiao Yue had come in and had been eavesdropping on them. Xiao Yue still thinks that ML is using MC as his substitute and even comes up with the conclusion that he's with MC because MC is willing to do it with ML in his beast form. ML tells Xiao Yue that he never lost any of his memories of them together but he feels nothing for him anymore. Xiao Yue doesn't believe it, if ML has really let go of his past, why did he choose someone who looks exactly like him to dual cultivate with. ML responds that looking like Xiao Yue was actually a disadvantage for MC because it made ML feel irritated seeing MC's face. Xiao Yue eventually leaves because ML is ignoring him and busy cleaning his fur. Tiger ML rolls on his bed and ends up rolling to the front of MC, freezes, sniffs MC to check that he isn't awake and breathes a sigh of relief and then elegantly stands up. ML licks MC's entire body clean and then goes asleep with his body wrapped around MC. MC crawls out from ML's fluffy embrace. He still wants to stay there because he's happy every second he's with ML but he knows that he shouldn't continue rely on this imaginary warmth. He runs out and goes to his house to pack up his stuff. MC comes across Xiao Yue who tells some more lies to get MC to leave ML (MC was already planning to and was going to go back to ML to say goodbye after he packed up his stuff). Xiao Yue makes MC mad, and MC blurts out without thinking, "Only you would cherish that stinky old tiger like a treasure, after seeing his true form, I want to get as far away from him as possible. From now on, I'll cultivate with whoever I want to, I'll have such a fun time, no need for you to worry about me!" A cold voice cut through the air, "Oh, do tell your lordship who exactly you're going to find to have a fun time." ML gets really mad thinking that MC really is going to find someone else, and threatens to cut off MC's hooves if he does. ML then tightly carries MC back to his room. Xiao Yue is completely treated like air. MC is still bothered by Xiao Yue's words and so ML decides to cancel the marriage so MC will stop bothering him about it. It's a marriage bestowed by the Celestial Emperor and written in the marriage book so ML decides that he'll just destroy the record of it so he doesn't have to marry Xiao Yue. MC is really happy. The next day, ML asks MC about that dragon pearl. MC tells ML what he did and how it will help ML recover his emotions. ML tells MC that that demon who helped him make the pill was a swindler and says "Despicable ocean demon, how dare he bully one of my people! Does he think that he's allowed to take advantage of you as he pleases just because you're foolish and have no brains? Wait for a bit, I'll go kill him to avenge you." Xiao Yue comes again and tries to dissuade ML from destroying the marriage book because if he does he will be punished by the heavens. ML doesn't care and sends Xiao Yue out. MC hears all this and decides to destroy the book himself. Right now MC is really weak because he lost his cultivation and no longer has his dragon pearl to protect him. If he diminishes his spiritual energy, he will die. MC manages to steal the book. ML also arrives. Yuelao convinces MC give him back the book, when MC tries to, ML burns it. MC gets really worried about how ML will be punished. Lightning clouds come and they think that it's ML's punishment but it heads for MC's friend Xuan Hu's direction instead. Xuan Hu's brother, Bai Hange (not real brother) used the forbidden arts to bring his loved one back to life so he is being punished 9 lightning strikes. Bai Hange hates Xuan Hu because Xuan Hu prevented him from going to his loved one (because Xuan Hu didn't want Bai Hange to die) and his loved one died. Bai Hange's last words to Xuan Hu is that he never wants to see Xuan Hu again in this life. Xuan Hu sacrifices himself for Bai Hange and takes some of the strikes in his place and dies. It turns out that it both MC and ML will be punished. MC is punished for stealing the book which lead to its destruction, and ML is punished for destroying the book. MC's punishment is 9 lightning strikes, and and confinement in the Dragon Palace for 100 years. ML's punishment is taking away his heavenly position, seizing away his cultivation, and striking him down to human world. ML throws himself on top of MC who has been struck three times and has reverted back to his dragon form. ML is told that he must not to take the lightning strikes in MC's place or the power of the strikes will multiply. ML won't listen and stays there. ML takes 6 strikes and is really heavily injured - there's not a single part on him that's intact. He tries to drag MC underneath him but doesn't have enough strength can only helplessly watch the lightning strike MC's horn. Xiao Yue is busy watching with his uncle (The Heavenly Emperor) who was the one who helped him arrange the marriage and is also the one who decides on the punishment. He's resentful that MC was only struck three times. His uncle says he couldn't bear to hurt MC too badly because he looks like Xiao Yue. Even after giving them such a harsh punishment Xiao Yue still isn't satisfied and tells his uncle to mess up MC's memories. His uncle agrees. Because MC didn't have his neidan (probably dragon pearl) the lightning directly struck his body, and so his body is starting to become transparent, and his body seems like it's going to start dissipating. ML is really scared that MC is going to die. He then realises that for the first time in 200 years, he is feeling fear - and realises that the pill did work, he did recover his emotions (which would explain his possesiveness towards MC before) but the price paid was too high. He's finally realised that he's in love with the MC just when he's going to lose him forever. He transfers a round pearl from his own mouth to MC's (probably giving MC his neidan). MC's body stops changing and he finally lets out a breath of relief. When MC wakes up, he's at home surrounded by his brothers. He remembers that he was punished for helping destroy the marriage book and that ML tricked him into dual cultivating with him because he looked like Xiao Yue, and on the day he was sentenced with lightning strikes, ML ran away with Xiao Yue and even tried to steal MC's neidan. MC checks his own neidan, and is relieved to find it's still there. MC sneaks off to ML's valley. Without ML, the valley has become overrun with demons. MC encounters one of ML's servants and asks the servant if ML has married Xiao Yue and returned to the imperial court/heavens. The servant says yes, ML has already left, he told me to tell you... MC won't listen to what the servant has to say and flies away. At a distance in the grass there is a rustling sound. A claw came out from the grass followed by a fluffy head, it was a white tiger the size of a house cat. The white tiger was missing one ear, and there were scars all over its body. It raised its head and stared in direction the silver dragon flew off to until it disappeared from sight, before it couldn't help but start running in the direction of the silver dragon. After a few steps, the little white tiger stopped and his originally raised ears and tail hung down/dropped. Mu Wan (the servant) stood behind the white tiger and lamented, "My lord, this place is no longer safe, we should leave as well." The white tiger's pitch black eyes flashed, and after letting out a wail in the direction the silver dragon, it turned and jumped onto Mu Wan's shoulder. 2 hundred years later ML and MC meet again (MC has blackened a little). ML has just finished defeating a spider demon and is really injured so he almost kills one of MC's servants to recover his energy. MC tells him to be one of his guards and doesn't give him the option to refuse. ML knows that MC's memories are all messed up but he doesn't mind. He just wants to be by MC's side and be able to protect him, and if MC can't remember then MC won't be sad when he leaves in the future. ML is really weak right now and his face is completely disfigured. ML faints from his injuries. MC's servants think that MC doesn't like him so they drag him back home and put in the worst dwelling. Meanwhile, Xiao Yue stabs the Heavenly Emperor (his uncle) in the neck (his only weak point) because he wants his throne and casts some spell which swaps their appearance and traps the Heavenly Emperor in the lake. MC gets a doctor to examine ML and finds out that ML has lost his neidan, without his neidan, he only has the lifespan of a normal beast race and will die. They dual cultivate and MC suddenly recalls a new bunch of memories (true memories) - that ML gave his neidan to him and his ear in his white tiger form was almost about to fall off. MC checks and discovers that ML is missing an ear. He asks ML if he lost an ear because of him but ML says no. ML becomes MC's guard and glares at everyone who MC gets close to but MC doesn't notice. ML keeps disappearing so MC goes out to find him. He doesn't end up finding him but finds a little black and white striped cat in a cave trying to hide itself in a crack of a rock. After looking closer MC starts to suspect that it's not a cat but a white tiger but isn't sure if it's ML because ML is supposed to be way bigger. As MC mistook ML for a cat at first glance, ML decides to meow to try to trick MC. His "meow" sounds really stiff and he tries to tilt his head innocently like a cat does and walks towards MC. Although he's really stiff and is walking strangely, MC is tricked or so ML thinks. ML doesn't want MC to know that his spiritual energy has diminished to infantry level because he wants MC to remember him in his best state. ML thinks that MC has been tricked and starts cleaning himself. MC suddenly picks him up. MC knows that the cat is the ML but doesn't expose him (MC now knows why ML keeps disappearing) and pretends that he thinks ML is a cat and tells him not to be scared and he'd feed him. ML calms down and then gets pissed off that MC is so stupid that he can't tell a cat and tiger apart, and decides he'll treat MC a lesson at night in bed. ML hears that MC picks up little animals all the time and gets jealous. He jumps to the ground and knocks into two kid foxes - A thought crosses ML's mind, could these two foxes be Xuan Hu and Bai Hange's next lives? The two little foxes surround ML. ML roars at them but the two who have been protected really well by MC don't sense any danger and happy howl back, accepting ML into their furry gang. Seeing MC treat him as a kitten, ML is first angry and then downhearted, he knocks down a few jars and then lies on the ground and pretends to be dead. ML thinks that MC will leave him behind with the foxes but at night MC picks him up, takes ML his room and gives him a bath. ML sneaks out when MC isn't paying attention, transforms back to human form and goes back to the room. After a night of lovemaking, the next day MC appears at the cave he found ML and happily catches the little white tiger that ran away the previous night. This becomes a routine. The more they dual cultivate the clearer the real memories get and the original fake memories start to get blurrier. MC doesn't have any impression of the real memories but he doesn't care, he just knows that he doesn't want to part from ML. ML's servant, Mu Wan comes to find MC. It turns out that when ML realised that he didn't have long to live, he found an old friend to look after Mu Wan and went to look for MC. Mu Wan was worried about ML looking for MC alone and came back to find ML. After Mu Wang explains everything to MC, MC realises the truth and that ML hadn't ever once given up on him. ML had taken his punishment, lost an ear for him, and gifted his neidan to him. MC's soul was about to shatter and ML held MC's in place but MC ended up with messed up memories. MC feels guilty that he mocked ML when they met again, and starts dazing out. ML, who had turned into a small white tiger because he had exhausted his energy, waited for half a day for MC in that cave, but even when the sky got dark, MC didn't come to find him. The little white tiger resentfully walks out of the cave and bounces back home. MC is still dazing out. The little white tiger resentfully sits in front of MC. MC feels really guilty and covers his face. The white tiger pats MC and notices that MC has been crying. ML's heart tightens and doesn't care about hiding his identity anymore and talks while still in his tiger form, and asks why MC cried and who bullied him. MC says no one bullied him and says to ML that he's loved a certain person all along. ML's heart tightens and unhappily asks him who it is that he loves. MC tells him that that person has done a lot for him, protected him, and sacrificed everything for him, but MC did something to hurt him, does ML think that that person forgive him and like him? ML thinks for a moment, and answers that if that person is willing to sacrifice everything, then he naturally loves you, he's willing to accept everythink you do to him. MC replies that he's too ashamed to see him. ML unhappily asks who it is. MC kisses the white tigers nose and tells ML it's him. They finally talk to each other and promise to be with each other forever. ML's lifespan was still a problem. While dual cultivation could improve ML's cultivation, without a neidan, they can't extend ML's lifespan. MC finds out a way to get ML back his neidan from the ocean demon (same person who helped recover ML's emotions). ML still thinks the demon is untrustworthy though. However, this time the secret art is safe - two hundred years ago the ocean demon went in hiding after hearing that ML was going to kill him. He gave MC the secret art after MC promised that ML won't kill him. With the secret art, MC and ML now share the same neidan and so when one dies, the other will as well. The End The story about the evil ex-lover Xiao Yue is not concluded, but this story is part of a series so it might be later on. The author promised that she'll write a story about the two foxes (which ended in a tragedy here) but still hasn't yet.
No offence meant, but why does this novel strikes me as similar to Ten Miles Peach Blossom? I know that the Chinese fantasy genre basically covers the Heavenly Emperor, lightning tribulations, and trials in human world, etc. But, the amount of misunderstanding and convoluted drama really reminds me of Ten Miles, especially when the ex-lover XiaoYue reminds me of SuJin, and anticipating a spin-off about the two foxes, which Ten Miles author has promised a spin-off for ZheYan and BaiZhen... Anyway, I love the drama and misunderstandings, can't wait for the unfortunate soul that decided to translate this novel/ series. Thanks KazeYuki, for the spoilers. Calling for the sect members~! This was written in 2015 so it's not one of the sources I haven't red Ten Miles but judging from the summary of wikipedia, I don't think the story is similar. Besides the 2 misunderstandings: 1) MC not knowing ML is a tiger - this is used as comedy 2) After the time skip, when MC's memories are muddled The other misunderstandings are solved on the same or the next day. Xiao Yue tries to create discord, but ML solves it pretty quickly afterwards. The story is actually really simple. Maybe it's the way I summarised it, the story actually mostly consists of meat... (just look at the number of locked chapters on jjwxc) One thing I found hilarious is that the reason ML decides to be with MC in the beginning is because his butt is balding, and dual cultivation actually helps his fur grow for some reason. ML tries to be regal in his tiger form but he can't break his cat instincts.
