Love isn't something that can be bought, because literally nobody can force themselves to love someone who they dont like. You can make someone like you by giving them gifts or excessive pampering and comfort, but that only takes you so far. Without loyalty, consideration towards your partner and respect (and many other things like understanding and admiration etc etc etc) you may be the most handsome man on the planet but you'd still be an asshole nobody wants to be with. Talking about buying love is just like talking about buying a person, objectifying them and thus degrading them. Everyone has preferences according to their personalities and experiences. Those born in families with financial difficulties may prioritize money as an important factor in a relationship. Just like those born in a loveless marriage or so may prioritize true love. Someone who's excessively conscious of their beauty may demand that of their partner. But these are just initial preferences that sets level of comfort with that person, not an iron clad rule.
