It's interesting to see how the fateful coincidences heap up in the last two chapters (Chapter 77 & 78). What hurts me more is the fact that while LWJ was searching far and wide, WWX was actually lying prostrate at the Burial Mound, going through so much emotional turmoil. If only LWJ knew where to find him all this time...

The only time Wen Ning went berserk was when he first woke up, being able to tear down Wei's talismans, and barriers that were keeping him. After that, he never crossed out of line, during Zixuan's death it was because he was following Wei's negative emotion, and in Dafan it was cuz he had those needles in his head that made him act like a typical walking fierce corpse, attacking anyone with harmful intents. It's why I'm so stumped, why would he lose control after handing themselves in when it was of their own violation? I'm sure the two knew, they were going in there to be executed. Wen Ning is kind & has a soft nature, like YanLi actually. He would never do anything that would worsen the situation, plus Wangji was there defending him, and yet conveniently he just lost control? I swear, if I find more clues, and one of them points to the Jins, I'm gonna bloody lose it (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻

Ugh you’re so right. So much pain could have been avoided if a hundred tiny butterfly effect things had gone differently. Although really, this timeline is fairly bleak, even if LWJ could have gotten to him at the Burial Mound. The mob mentality smear campaign against WWX wasn’t going to end, though having LWJ by his side could have made all the difference. And who knows, maybe JC would even eventually quell his pride and come around to rejoin his brother’s side if their beloved sister wasn’t killed in his arms. UGH. They all deserved so much better than this.

In the other thread they said a man who raped a little girl got sentenced for only 8 years but this novel writer gets sentenced for 10 years?! Cuz she writes Explicit BL?! If we were to apply this outside China, even fanfic writers would get jailed.
