Name: Main Character Hides His Strength Raw Link: https://novel.munpia.com/61736 NU Link: https://www.novelupdates.com/series/main-character-hides-his-strength/ Why It Should Get Picked Up: It's the best OP protagonist from the start novel I've ever read. The mc is relatable, focused on his goal, mature, no nonsense in battle (Ruthless and while people do get surprised by his godly strength it isn't as bad as the OMG moments in JP and CN novels), and while not a hero of justice he isn't heartless. Set in a dark world probably not worth saving if you only look at the ruling classes of the world, but the mc does what he has to for his goal. A overall top tier KR novel with a strong and waiting fan base that should be picked up. It once had a good team of translators, but in the last half year or longer they've been failing to keep up their protects and said no word to the readers in ages. All their novels have been on hiatus for a long time and the MCHHS translation really slowed to a crawl back in July, and only because they released 3 chapters between July and August did I have to wait so long to put up the pick up request. For other raw sources I recommend asking around the community since I don't know what most KR translators do. Description: Enemy of the world, cursed by all, Kim Sungchul goes on a quest to prevent the ‘prophecy of the end’ from coming to pass. But no matter how much he raised his strength, there were still some things he could not achieve with physical strength alone. Resolving to obtain the power of magic, he goes into hiding to learn magic from his most hated of enemies, The Mages.
Shut up you female lead idiot, we men prefer male lead with this kind of mc where they are reasonable and not idiotic where they can get manipulated by just anyone
Oppatranslation get the rights for this with Munpia right? While I'm supporting this, I'm still wondering about what the heck happened to them that make them died for 3 months already?
I don't really like female leads because if there is romance i would throw up rainbows. For this novel, i just dislike that MC is the enemy of the world. BUT ! If you tell me that he is hated because he is the good guy in the shit hole that is his world i think i can accept it. Also it doesn't look like it got a "romance" or anything similar tag. Too bad.
Oof, fight breaking out? Main Character Hides His Strength sounds great, I'll have to add it to my reading list.
They wrote a post before going inactive about life issues and such. Oppa's issues They also mentioned about how they had tons of translated chapters sitting on their computer that of course seems like a real shame... since it doesn't seem they'll see the light of day. As for the series... I really really hope any KR translator who picks up one of Oppatranslation's series considers picking up Chemistry or Poten before Main Character. Poten isn't even on NovelUpdates yet since Oppatranslations never released their stored up translations, but by the same author as Chemistry, one of the best KR series that I've read. Can't say I enjoyed Main Character. To those who do though, maybe try out any one of the huge number of similar series: Reincarnator, KoT, Master Hunter K, Arena, I am the Monarch, Amber Sword, He's the Legendary Guard, Memorize, Dragon Order of Flame, are the ones that come to mind.
From what they said themselves, they got permission from the author and it was removed from munpia on the author's request. Also ending was changed etc.
This novel in question : Main Character Hides His Strength. You should find this in an announcement post on their website
Didn't verify since they were able to make an ebook and put on Amazon and touted it since they got permission directly from the author. The onus is not on me to verify but you can find the ebook and announcement
Ah, you mean the English version. Found it: Amazon book Still seems to have the English chapters on their site though, weird. Would have thought they'd be clearer about it if they planned to just publish it through amazon. I assume they have stopped translating though, based on their lack of updates. Does put the next translator in an awkward position as to whether or not the author/munpia will complain though.
