Discussion Death Sutra translation

Hey nuftopians. I was living under a metaphorical rock and just found out that my favorite CN is being translated by you know whom. I was waiting for the customary 3 months period to a pass in order for another translator to pick it up.
So :
1. Is the translation being done by the one who did the first 247 chapters at radianttranslations.com?
2. Did they pick up after chapter 247 or did they start from the beginning?
3. How good is the new translation?
4. Do they use the same terms or would I have to adapt to the new terms before I can start reading?

Ooh, nice way to get around the three month rule for novel pickup requests. I'll note the "translation status inquiry" as a valid tactic for future use.

 

It's qidian; they can do whatever they want to.

 

I also only recently learned that DS was being translated by Qidian now.

I don't think it's the same translator: always says "Maid Lotus" instead of "Lotus" for example. Nothing about the new translation really bothered me. No idea where they started, whether they did it themselves, I just read on. Not much changed terminology.

 

Sorry but one has to be a idiot to pick up Qidian novels at this point.
One has to be a sadist to make a pick up request for Qidian novels.
I think we should petition the mods to ban Qidian Pick up requests.
It is detrimental to my bottom line the community

4. Not much change to my knowledge, but I didn't get very deep into it. Defering to WinByDying again.

Thinking some more, there were terminology changes but they were easy to interpret. The cultivation scriptures changed name a bit, and gongzi became young master? This sort of changes.
