I started reading it quite a while a go and found it pretty good? Not really but it was quite interesting but then it started looking more and more like a Chinese propaganda. So does it get any better latet on?
Well, that's a CN post-apocalypse genre for you. That's literaly trademark of this genre. God and Devil World for example
There is no chinese propaganda... It is a chinese author saying that the chinese way is the best, Much like how American people say American made products are the best. Not propaganda but national pride. That said, this is a good novel. good war scenes, cultivation is just different enough to be interesting, and there some well executed schemes. The MC has a couple wives, but so does everyone else in the novel so that isn't really unique.
It has far less propaganda than God and Devil World, I read till about chapter 900 before I took a break and it hasn't bothered me as it did in GDW.
It's always there throughout the story, but it does feel less blatant after a while. I just had to shake my head when the story declared that the MC knew that one of the plots of the demons pre-apocalypse was to teach humans to mistreat each other because of race...and then the MC casually accepts as appropriate the fact that his race is superior and treated better than others throughout the story. He personally treats everyone quite well, regardless of their race (wives, fellow warriors, etc), but he also accepts as natural the fact that foreigners are uncultured barbarians. It's more an amusing quirk of the story than anything offensive. It's true, though, that literally everything in the story that is considered "the best" in the world (that wasn't created through his own special powers, at least), both historically and present, is Chinese. Every. Thing.
I got meh when MC just ditched the women around him... unless they legit followed him, he'd just shrug and go "whatever". Most aggressive beta male I've ever read. And yea, it's the sneaky kind of Chinese supremacist.
The novel stays the same mostly though it gets a little bit better later on as whatever the author wanted to praise has been done. I wouldn't call it a propaganda, just an author writing a novel with his country as the best without being racial. Keep in mind that the author doesn't even have the consideration of a non-Chinese audience when the novel is in Chinese on a Chinese site.
^^ he's living in china. he's writing in chinese he's writing for chinese besides this is fiction. it's also post apoc. its like asking why nothing in fallout 3/4/NV is made in china
