I've been trying to read Sevens since forever but still can't get past 10 chapters. People keep on recommending this novel but I dont know what's so good about it. The mc is slower than a slowpoke and passive. He doesn't seems to have a fully developed brain and needs to be babysitted by his fiancee. Will it get better? How much longer until it starts to get good?
nope.... and for the record, his waifus r all the influential princesses(queens and a former priest?) of the whole goddamn world....
It gets a lot better. I started reading it and was turned away due to the super slow start, but once all the ancestors show up and start training him, it picks up and he gets better. Also they explain later on why he's such a boring idiot and weak af at the start of the novel. He still stays a bit easy to push throughout the novel since that's just one of his character traits and being aggressive and confident is more of a "Mr.Lyle" thing. also Mr.Lyle is best Lyle
A large portion of sevens was the character growth if the mc and him basically becoming a man and future ruler.
In my opinion it does slowly but surely, and there is an actually reason why Lyle acts the way he does.
Depends on your definition of better. I personally enjoyed it but the beginning was meh at best. If you don't want to keep going then don't. Judging by how you view the MC now I don't think there are many JP novels that you'd like.
I honestly enjoyed the first few chapters but have long since given up the novel. There is definitely character growth for the MC but my problem was the harem. It just got out of control. Everybody was falling in love with that idiot. The first four or five were OK but it didn't stop. And it was the standard harem problem of the old lovers being forgotten and the new ones being too bland. "Courtship" kept getting quicker too. If your only problem is the MC being lame, then keep reading. But I personally wouldn't recommend the title. Which is a shame, because it was actually a neat premise.
Spoiler He doesn't actually have a fully developed personality. In the later volumes it is revealed that he, the current lyle, is the result of the original personality being sealed. So he is technically like 5 years old mentally.
Haha, same here. I saw many people giving this novel raving reviews. I tried reading it and I'm sure the story will get interesting at one point, but I'm stuck at chapter 9 for half a year. It's still on my reading list. One day, I'll get back to it.
Story is strong point of seven, And mc is weak point, what can you do japanese novel is definition of useless protagonist read it till the end you're going to be glad that you read it
Seven is definitely a novel with slow progression. When I first read it, I also dislike his wimpy attitude. But when you pass that there is this "Mr.Lyle" a.k.a his second personality that never fail to make you laugh.
