No Harem Wuxia Novels, please!. Whenever I read a novel with Harem, that is .... what to say..... ummm. .., the essence of the novel is off and somewhat disgusting? LoL. 'The Desolate Era' seem pretty GOOD!
It is Xianxia. Before I got to Desolate Era mentioned in your post I thought you wanted a wuxia like Martial King's Retired Life without harem shenanigans.
*Proceeds to recommend a bunch of Reverse harems* Silly stuff aside, when does Harem become bad for you? Is it when it involves constant interraction with the women or the moment a second love interest steps into the story and influences it? For example, Renegade Immortal, King of Gods, Sovereign of the Three Realms would technically be called harem due the second 'love interest' influencing the Main Lead. But, the two former has rarely any intense interaction with the women while the latter does have some more. In fact, I find it hard to think of any novels aside from Tomatoes mentioned by others.
Death Sutra, also called Death Scripture Wuxia is about martial heroes training martial arts and internal force, sort of like western stories about knights. Xianxia is about cultivation, immortality and ascendance. Xuanhuan is more sort if like western fantasy.
The daily life of immortal king is a good romance novel, you’ll like it. Sadly most novels on NU are polygamy so you gotta treasure these rare gems...
Your right, honestly I can’t tell the difference anymore since even xuanhuans have things like internal force, it always mixed with different elements, I still think Xianxias are the best though
Xuanhuan novels having internal force isn't strange. It's about those novels being influenced by western fantasy in some way. Some mostly unique traits: multiple realms (xianxia), lack of magical beasts (wuxia), western names (xuanhuan), immortality (xianxia), focus on martial arts (wuxia), western style magic (xuanhuan), ... Xuanhuan is probably the least strictly defined of the three, some overlap with wuxia and xianxia. Not that hard to keep them apart.
