What is dao ???

[Rant]After reading novels I have found out that it is universal laws but man where we can find universal laws (like laws in physics ) but that sh*t is too boring I thought it would be interesting like in novel also I have correlated alchemist in novel to chemistry we study in modern world

In nutshell is dao related to holy books , physics we study(whispering myself like I have gone mad )
Also what are universal laws

This is literally "path".
Not some law itself, but the word "science" would be closer - e.g. you can understand human metabolism starting from either biology or chemistry. So depending on your path, your understanding of biochemistry can follow the Dao of Biology or Dao of Chemistry.

Of course, in fantasy this is just turned into "science of magic" or "science of immortality". If you want to try - Dao of Five Elements would be Chemistry and Physics. Dao of Numerology/Divination/Formations would be Mathematics, Daos of Live&Death - Biology.
As you progress your understanding narrows into special Daos of Geology/In(organic) Chemistry/Medicine/Engineering etc etc. Good luck in reaching the apex and transcending PhD Tribulation.

Whatever definition "Dao" was for them, this seem most likely the case.

 

It’s meaning is actually different in every novel, if you’d seen the mangas that show how universal laws look like, it’s actually pretty cool, it’s because we English folks don’t see to much CNs/Mangas that we don’t see it a lot, even I only have a little bit understanding, it’s like magic fantasy novels but mixed with other type of mythologies

 

I always thought of “Dao” as basically understanding. A understanding deeper and more profound that many can only vaguely imagine.

 

I will describe it with a few words:

- Dao is the way to see the truth.

So actually you can show it to the people in many forms and ways.

 

Paths people choose as truth.

 

Dao is the way of life. That's it.
