Since in the first couple chapters they mentioned how he was supposed to be dead his ashes being spread. I'm reasoning that if Wei and co. do pass on it won't be long till Weny goes with them too. He might have some sort of goal he wishes to achieve first before he joins up with them in the afterlife.
He really reminds me of Roland from LSK; friendly, dociled undead creatures who will be left all alone after our MC passed away.
When you asked that @kiara8, I was wondering.....is the author of MDZS female or male? I always assume a well written action filled manhua must be made by a male author. (I repeat: this is just an assumption not a fact)

Here's Lan JingYi to brighten your day up: Well... As long as it's related to BL I stereotypically assume any author/fan to be female... As far "adventure" is concerned, how can we forget JK Rowling, the author of the probably most well-known series? And Toboso Yana, the author of Black Butler? Honestly I feel so so so so proud that the author of Mo Day Zu Shi is a woman. And that it is BL. Honestly, MDZS makes me feel "empowered". Like, it proves not every masterpiece has to be "general", nor does every BL has to be mere fanservice and a sprinkle of sex and sugary romance (and *cough 90% population need not be gay to have something called "relationship".) As a fantasy AND BL fan, MDZS is a blessing to me. Thank you God, for MDZS . It's fandom is a blessing to me... How badly I wish I could do SOMETHING in return... (Can u believe my body is actually burning up with emotions?)
Well the author of the BL manhwa Saha is male. IDK if it's true but I read most of the comment section that the author is male. I'm too surprised about this though. Well I do agree with you but what I meant before is BL with action genre. It's just pretty rare for me that I am satisfied how it well laid out the story was. I know the female authors of certain action genre stories are great. But it's pretty rare for me to read BL + ACTION genre. [You know, the fighting...the stunts, and battles...the challenge] (Don't mind me hehe. I havent yet read all the BLs in the world that I could compare with MDZS. So I'm not sure if this is the only great BL + ACTION out here. I'm still new to NU. Please spare me with my comment)
Yeah I do agree with you. Sometimes I just lose interest reading BL. Like they are too sugary with sex and etc....I wanted a BL that has an action genre. I wish there are more BLs that are like this
