I found an interesting article about prototype robot cafe in which robots are operated by paralysed people. Might be interesting to read. https://nextshark.com/japan-cafe-paralyzed-robot-servers/
Given time they might be able to make paralysed people back to live by putting their consciousness inside the robot. It's great imo
I think it is a cool idea. Jordan Peterson a clinical psychologist has said many times that work gives life meaning. Also, that for older people in retirement homes never do something for them they can do themselves, even if it takes them 3 mins to button their shirt let them do it because having that autonomy is important. I think it was also shown those who have more autonomy live longer. Same can apply to a small child let them struggle and overcome tasks that are just slightly harder each time, it gives them a sense of accomplishment and less worry about trying new things. These can also be applied to someone who cannot move. It would probably make them feel useful and that they are doing something worthwhile. Laying in bed all day gets pretty boring.
I don't know. We can slap our names into these automatons and claims the work they did on their own as ours. Would be different is the robots were made by paralyzed person though.
This is only morally okay, if the paralysed people volunteered for it. It might be interesting, but it's not suitable everywhere, and unless it expands and varies accordingly, it'll sooner or later stop being an amazing thing.
Because that seems completely feasible. You would have to do a brain transplant for that to happen, which isn't going to be happening anytime soon.
The robots don't look like they move very fast. I saw this when I was reading/watching it. https://nextshark.com/man-sprints-across-train-tracks-tokyo-getting-caught-filming-womans-skirt/
