So last sleep Ai-chan had a dream about being a baker's daughter whose family bakery is at odds with two other bakery. One of the bakery whose heir is a guy and sells to the royal family is in love with Ai-chan, but Ai-chan doesn't care because his bakery is strangling Ai-chan's family bakery. So Ai-chan made new types of breads. But the last bakery that was right in front of Ai-chan's family bakery tries to steal Ai-chan's recipes all they can because they're the weakest out of the 3 bakeries. Then the heir of the 3rd bakery, a really hot girl who has superiority complex decided to ask the recipe directly and Ai-chan told her Ai-chan would exchange the recipe for her body. She was so adorable looking all flustered, a gap moe one would say. Anyway, Ai-chan wants to write the story some day (not now, too many titles) but Ai-chan has a problem. Ai-chan has only ever baked plain bread and cakes before. So Ai-chan has never innovated a new type of bread before. Can anyone help tell Ai-chan how an amateur baker can write about an awesome baker?
My advice would be to binge watch/read Yakitate!! Japan. The entire series is about creating a bread unique to Japan so there's a lot of bread lore in it

You can write a story about some baker loves bread so much they decide to bake it twice and then discover toasts, which tastes many times more delicious.
I can confess that i am someone that tried to find the recipes of Yakitate on the net. But wtf with the turtle bread that is entirely green ? Manga just says that all ingredients are green. I am not sure but think there was some ingredients that are not really bread ingredients.

There's a lot of revolutionary history in bread and pastries such as croissants, chocolate cornet, pizza, etc etc. If the bread age in your story start from the hard bread kind then there's a lot of historical advancement you can put from reference. If you're talking about coming up with a complete revolutionary recipes and techniques that wow even us modern dwellers then you'll need a lot more knowledge about them. Most cooking manga such as shokugeki no soma do their research directly to some chefs so i doubt it will be easier for us make something just as good without similar resources.
Hmn...you can just write some real life bread and mix them in your stories. Well, i also tried to make a bread story as well but its more of a horror story. Me and my fam had visited our grandma and we enjoy a good breakfast. My bro was so wasteful of food that he dropped a piece of loaf into a plate that had vinegar in it. We were supposed to ignore it but was glared at by our grandma and no one had to leave the table until someone eat the vinegar mixed bread. My bro quickly picked the bread and shove it into my mouth.
