Discussion Autopilot

Have you ever been on autopilot in your daily lives? It gets pretty weird when you suddenly realized that you've been doing "Do task A, then task B, then go to sleep". I feel like a robot.

 

Yea, I once finished my job without even realize what I was doing. But I prefer the word muscle memory. That's more cool than autopilot

 

Pretty sure most people in the world live like that. That's pretty sad tho.

 

I sleepwalked my way through most of high school. I would doze through my classes and drowse through my exams. And then, the minute school would end, I would become wide awake. I would positively skip home to play. That's also probably why I barely remember high school, but it sure made classes less boring.

 

Yup. And it's scary. When I was working in my previous company, doing routine work everyday, waking up and sleeping early, 5 years flies by without me even noticing. Suddenly when I realised, my ex already have 2 kids and I'm already a 27 years old uncle.

 

Now that i broke the habit, Im pretty aware of the small details of my surroundings. i feel in awe and like Im in control with my self.

 

That moment when a cute girl confesses to you but your in auto pilot mode...

 

Usually when I drive. Had several unfortunate moments where I took the route to work when I'm supposed to split somewhere else on the way <.<

 

I've had this happen many times in my life, mostly after a long shift at work. Would remember getting in the car and leaving work, only to wakeup some unknown time later sitting in the driveway at home.

 

Yup and it annoys me because I never remember do stuff when I do it on autopilot, go to do it and it's already done.... Either that or my house is haunted and friendly ghosts does tasks for me~

 

Relatable. Sometimes it's way easier to just do things than think about doing things so it's not all that bad.

 

I don't really know if I have ever been in autopilot tbh.

Inside the confines of my head, I think a lot. 99% is inane gibberish but I am constantly thinking about something. Kinda like schizophrenia but without being harmful. Ive heard some people call autopilot 'the zone'. I wonder how it feels.
