I'm kinda at a loss for words on how it can be considered a Netflix original lmao when the manga and a anime have been out forever... Just another remake... What are your thoughts on it? Will you watch it? Kinda triggered me. Still gonna watch it tho.
Netflix are known to pander to political correctness in their remakes and adaptations. People would view their every plan in remakes and adaptation with suspicion.
Because they produced it. Netflix is a streaming service, so they host other peoples shows and movies. So, if they produce something themself, it's an original. Simple, right? They're not saying they made the Baki universe.
I've already watched it. Foreign netflix released it episode by episode and someone translated the foreign subs. Spoiler Baki hardly even fights They call it original because it is their animation.
Netflix original doesn't necessarily mean they single handedly made the show, they simple bought the streaming rights to a product shown to them. "A "Netflix Original" is content that is produced, co-produced, or distributed by Netflix exclusively on their services. Netflix funds their original shows differently than other TV networks when they sign a project, providing the money upfront and immediately ordering two seasons of most series." From wiki When a company approaches netflix with a project and netflix likes the product they have shown them, Netflix buys the rights to stream it outside of Japan for a shit ton of money. But Netflix usually waits until the every episode has been aired in Japan before introducing it to the west, since everyone that uses Netflix dislike weekly episodes and rather have the entire season to binge.
It is an original. Netflix cashed out to make a new season where the old one left off. Hopefully they keep going and keep making the other arcs.
There is fighting, just not Baki but other people. Baki's main opponent is: Spoiler His GF in bed >.> Well, judging that it is airing in US netflix, 26. There might be more in the future since they show parts of the next arc (Chinese 100 year tournament). They end it when Baki and his father join that tournament.
Oh Pickle if you're going to be talking about Netflix adaptations, then why don't you also make a thread for how netflix is going to be uploading neon genesis evangelion. https://www.theverge.com/2018/11/27/18114331/netflix-neon-genesis-evangelion-anime-series
