Why don't they just straight up say they wanna drop the unpopular novels just because it doesn't give them enough profits instead of giving bs words like unguaranteed :blobexpressionless:

China Literature bought a stake in munpia plus they had already expanded into KR novels on GT (before moving them over to Webnovel)

Jesus Christ, I had no idea they actually moved them. At this rate GT is going to become an empty shell.

hahaha, this just made my holidays. I remember the translators here who sold their souls to Qidian bragging about how good it was. Look what happened now.

The biggest problem, other than the translators not caring about grammar and other errors in the slightest, is that they are already doing it to some extent with novels like The Legend of Futian and you can clearly see that the translation quality: tone, grammar, spelling, and terminology changes chapter to chapter. There is no consistency, and just reading chapter to chapter can be confusing. The only consistent term that I've seen used is masteress, a made up term that has come to mean a gay man's side piece, ironically used because one of the revolving translators felt that the term mistress had too much of a negative secondary meaning. They can't even agree if his pet is a condor or an eagle, leading to constantly bad translations. I used to put edits in the comments and got yelled at by the group translating it for dsring to notice and mention their constant problems. As long as the word count is there and you can kind of figure out what they are saying then nothing else matters to them. It's just a paycheck to them. (Phone typing sucks)

This is why Web Novel should just let CrN run it. We'll make them money and fix their growing bad decisions.

Why bothered about webnovel? I haven't read anything translated from there ever since "spirit stone" shows up, i have to 'pay' them? For something not quite up to standard to me, no way...
I'd rather break my grammar by reading the novel on Google translate than webnovel

It's a change, but is it bad? What's bad with working with a team? Are you splitting the money? Long as you do as much or more than two people you won't lose any profits. I don't get what's the problem from just this.

And if a novel isn't popular there's really nothing you can do about it. It's like Japanese manga magazines where they cut failing manga. And if they keep translating novels that don't sell well then they're losing money.
