    MAN thats honestly what she goes off to do! everyones like
    "oh it couldnt have been the E.D. bc shes now a devoted buddhist" but did that stop her from poisoning our MC AND also potentially poisoning the lil bro just bc one of them accidently stumbled on a secret and the other was her sons "threat to the throne"
    Ahhhhh she pissed me off so much and i dont think we even actually saw her wow

    The cat was p joyful until
    she died a horrible and instantaneous death by smelling the poison being served to her blind master and eating that cursed cake before the blind concubine could.
    And cause hes blind, he didnt even realise his companion for 5 years took one for the team until it was way too late arghhhhhh i want to read it again but even tho its been like, 2/3 weeks since i first read it im not emotionally ready

    I‘m too scared to read it. I love angst cause they usually have the most impact but that tragedy tag scares the sh*t out of me ;-;

    Hm..i guess when the ML or/and MC die? That’s what I associate tragedy with because for me death is the worst outcome (and no rebirth, reincarnation or whatever after that. If you're dead, you are dead. Ending = Death).
    I know that the protagonist‘s death is not a characteristic of tragedy but if the main protagonists don’t die I just feel sad and not heartbroken or devastated.... idk

    while you guys are talking about the sad part that happens, why is no one talking about chapter 28,
    ´Previously, there was someone who would secretly look at him attentively from quite a distance, despite he would never be able to see forever. But now, that person would never look at him anymore.´
    the two-sentence on top.
    It is obviously the emperor is the one watching over him but what did he mean that the person never looks at him again, does that meant the emperor doesn't see him anymore and if so WHY!!
    OR
    the emperor went and learn stealth from Jue Yu.
    I know that in the epilogue the author said that the emperor was able to stay by his side but he/she didn't tell us why Wan Yu( I think that's the name of the blind concubine) was not able to feel that person watching him.
    If the emperor learnt stealth from Jue Yu, how did he know that Wan Yu knew that someone was watching him?
    In the epilogue, the author said that the emperor stayed by Wan Yu side but with no explanation, I have a lot of doubts like maybe the emperor fell out of love or he was assassinated or locked up or have another lover or got hypnotised and a lot of other reasons.
    There's is a lot of plot holes but I still love this novel, made me cry at the end of it.

    Now its been a long time since ive read it, and im really going based off memory here so I could be wrong, but I believe that that sentence was based off of TBC's own perspective. I'm not sure about learning stealth from anyone, but since TBC believed he was given a house away in solitude, he BELIEVES that theres no one around to see him. Of course, being blind only further heightens that fact. When the emperor goes to see him, stealthy or not, he probably does it from a far enough distance. I really dont think the emperor stops going to see him, but rather its just highlighting how alone and miserable TBC feels :blobsad:
