Cause I was skipping just out of curiosity and around chap 180 they start talking about magic wand magic formation and magic powers. So I was a bit confused as I was reading chapter 80 and there is no sense of magic.

PSC asks NY how he knew about his half brother, NY says it was his uncle who told him. His uncle was very good to him, but he didn’t go to find him until much later, only to discover that he’d already passed away.

On the other hand, QJC is sneering – saying “It’s too early to go wild.” Only NY knows what he means, it really is too early to be arrogant. NY’s current behaviour is not careful enough, there are things he might’ve missed, and he can’t be sure to cover all his slip-ups, especially about how he was reborn.

In reality, he just wanted to vent. In the last life, NBY was always on YS’ side, at the end they even schemed together to kill him.

Telling QJC he’ll be careful, they head to the army’s camp. They look for Zhao Chengqi, the guy in charge. It was someone his grandfather had helped before and friends with his uncle. Last life, when he fought with YS, ZCQ also helped him. Now that NY isn’t planning to work under NBY anymore, ZCQ is a good place to start.

NY tells ZCQ he is gay (explaining why he left the army before) and that QJC is his lover, his health is not good. The straightforwardness makes ZCQ respect him more. He tells ZCQ some hints about plants changing and zombies getting stronger, the negative energy corrupting the land and water, also says he knows how to cultivate to improve his powers. He says that he discovered the method by accident.

SZL that was there was also enlightened, no wonder NY suddenly got so strong!

ZCQ asks what NY’s plans are, he says he wants to settle here because of some problems with his dad. They arrange an apartment with four rooms for them & their team, they settle in.

The room NY & QJC stay in has a mirror, QJC looks and is shocked.

CH27

Even till now, QJC’s spirits are still low. If he hadn’t been worried that NY would take it out on QCC if he died, he would’ve already suicided. For example, the window right there, he can open it and jump down. Watching people step towards extinction is not a good feeling.

Because of his mood, he has not paid attention to anything other than finding ways to feel comfortable despite his body situation. Given that he hasn’t even been bothered by being princess carried around by NY or even NY ‘eating his tofu’ (taking small advantages), obviously he hasn’t cared about his appearance.

Last life he was already being carved up, so now it’s really the first time he realizes his looks have changed. Red lips, white teeth, big eyes, pale skin, long eyelashes, he looks a little cute… and clearly like he is just a seventeen or eighteen year old youth! Even though he’s already 22…

QJC throws the mirror out the window expressionlessly.

NY goes to see the crowd that he had brought with him. Even tho he claimed that he picked them up because QJC likes the hustle and bustle of people, he also had taken them in because he wanted to build his own power base… so that he could protect and spoil QJC.

He tells them they can chose to take errands inside the base or go outside to kill zombies with him. Most people don’t want to go with him, ultimately only 11 people stayed, including Xu Nan. He made arrangements for them and went back to the apartment.

He runs into the couple that called him out in the quarantine base, they’re terrified of him, NY is amused. He remembers grudges, but he’s not that petty.

Bringing water for QJC’s bath, he shocks the water ability user and his sister with how much water he’s taking. They guess he must be doing it for a whole family, little do they know…

QJC bathes, thinking the change in his appearance and the fact that dark powers also include the ability to charm, must be related.

He tries to ask NY about how he looks, NY replies with a “Nobody in the world looks better than you.” QJC thinks that this is over exaggerating, but PSC in the side wonders how old he is because of how young he looks now, even SZL thinks his skin is amazing.

(There is a running joke about how PSC misinterprets NY/QJC’s interactions and considers everything from the perspective of how they supposedly used to have a relationship… he thinks they are really in love and QJC’s attempts to die are all to reduce the burden on NY.)

NY takes the two bodyguards (who finally get names!) Gan Jun & Zhou Xiaofeng to the trash heap to find containers for growing plants so that they can grow stuff for QJC since he loved planting flowers and vegetables in his old life. In fact, they probably could’ve lived off that for a long time, but the garden was destroyed in the last attack by a guy called Yu Xuguang when he self detonated.

NY really wants revenge on this guy – he even managed to hurt QJC!

Back at the apartment NY says he’ll find seeds, QJC tells him to plan them himself, NY agrees.

CH28

NY doesn’t have time to plant, he’s given a position in the ranks of ability users by ZCQ, and he needs to report. He brings QJC with him to make sure NBY or YS can’t do anything bad, tells Gan Jun to start training QYY to fight.

People with good bodies are more likely to awaken abilities. This was discovered shortly after the apocalypse. The army men are all fit, and naturally a lot of them have abilities. They are all arranged together into a small school. It’s not big and the area is arranged into dorms, and training areas, like its own miniature base.

They find that ZCQ has 892 ability users under him. There might be more powers in the area but they are scared to come out due to being scared of persecution. In fact in the last life, a lot of potentially strong ability users were killed in this way before people realized they were essential to survival.

People in the base see NY coming, they were all soldiers before – most civilian ability users were sent to another group. NY finds they are all wind abilities, because people haven’t yet discovered their use, they are left here while everyone else has been assigned out. They’re not polite, but here, strength speaks for itself.

After putting QJC in a folding chair, NY spars with them, defeating them one after another. The person who seems to be their leader finally admits defeat, but tells him that there will still be others (the people who aren’t at the base at the moment). His name is Qian Mingfeng.

From him he learns that the military ability users are not like YS and his followers. YS goes around to improve morale, a lot of his people are ordinary people. The military is split into groups that do tasks. Fire users are sent to burn corpses, water users provide water, earth powers are clearing the roads…

Wind isn’t useful yet, so they are left here. NY also introduces their team, QMF is shocked to discover QJC has no abilities, but NY says he’s already gotten approval from ZCQ. QMF frowns but still warns NY to be careful as others might not be as accepting… just as he’s saying that, a fireball heads straight for QJC!

CH29

Zhang Zihai is one of the strongest ability users on the base, he used to be a trouble maker, but became a soldier and thrived in the army. Now with the end of the world, he also became more and more fond of fighting. Hearing that ZCQ has accepted a highly proficient ability user into the base, ZZH really wanted to fight with him, so he worked extra hard today in order to come back early.

Coming back & seeing QJC sitting on the chair, he assumed that QJC must be the master, therefore he sent the fireball in excitement.

It wasn’t full strength so it travelled pretty slowly, normal people would be able to react or dodge away in time, but… QJC didn’t move at all. Even if he wanted to dodge, he couldn’t with his body’s state. Let alone, he didn’t want to dodge.

That fireball looks big enough to burn him to death.

There was anticipation in his eyes, but unfortunately, it didn’t happen. The fireball stopped in front of him, he could feel the heat, but it wasn’t close enough to burn. What a pity… QJC sighs.

He looks up to see NY’s face, full of rage. There’s a strange feeling in his heart.

In fact, he didn’t want to live in the last life either, but NY wanted him to live, so he lived for him and the others around them. Afterwards, there was only NY left, and NY still wanted to live. Even then, it was only for another 12 days… That feeling back then was really bad, and he didn’t feel like life was good at all. Every minute was painful and tormented him.

After rebirth, his thoughts haven’t changed, and NY still wants him to live…

He should hate NY, but now, looking at NY who has exhausted all his energy to stop the fireball, he feels a bad taste in his mouth.

Why does NY do this? Even if he doesn’t die, is it really that interesting for them to watch humans go extinct again?

QJC’s eyes didn’t hold any expression as he thought. At this time, NY had already thrown the fireball back to ZZH, eyes seeming to sprout flames. What if he hadn’t been strong enough or fast enough to block it?

He thought nobody in the military would casually attack without a word, especially not on ordinary people.

His head was throbbing from overuse of his powers but he didn’t stop his attacks at all. Finally, at the end, he punches ZZH in the face but doesn’t really hurt him – no matter what they’re still both on the same side and he needs to be restrained now without a power base. But NY has burned all the hair off his head as punishment.

Everyone around them found ZZH’s hairless appearance really funny but NY had no room to laugh. He was first scared then angry and has spent all his mental energy. Controlling other people’s powers is a hundred times more difficult. He’s overdrawn his spirit. Like this, it will take him a long time to recover, he will have headaches, and maybe even harm his future development.

Even so, NY doesn’t regret it.

“Nie Yi, come here”. QJC speaks up suddenly.

NY unconsciously goes over, QJC’s finger lifts up his chin, and then QJC’s face pressed close…

Qi Jingchen actually kissed him!

But he soon woke up. NY tasted a bit of blood, subconsciously taking a step back and avoiding QJC’s kiss. His head slowly cleared, pain receding, his mental strength recovering. The powers in his head spun continuously, and a drop of spiritual energy condensed in his head.

He suddenly became a second-level power!

It was great that he upgraded, but the smell of blood made NY’s face pale. He didn’t want QJC to get hurt at all, and yet now QJC bit his own tongue to give his blood to him. He hated those who had eaten QJC’s flesh, but he ate it himself every time.

Why is QJC so silly? He’s doing fine right now, it was just a little problem, and QJC is already feeding him blood. NY sees QJC is a little pale, thinks its because of the blood loss.

QJC is a bit pale, but it’s because he’s regreting what he did. Even though his blood is good, if NY eats it, his fate is in his hands. (QJC when he awakens has power over the life/death of people who have had his flesh and blood.) But… his mood was strange just then, and he just did all that without thinking…

Anyway it will happen sooner or later, NY needs to take on dangerous tasks in the future, it’s better to take some of his blood for safety.

Having given himself a reason, QJC looked at NY’s also pale face, frowned, “What? Don’t like it? If you dislike it, then just kill me…”

Though he also remembered QJC’s blood had side effects, he really doesn’t care. Afterall, it will just strengthen the connection between the two of them even more.

NY kisses his cheek, QJC punches him lightly, then takes him to bathe, QJC reflects that he might have done a bad thing because NY will now take more advantages of him now, but he had only chosen to kiss NY because other methods of transferring his blood would’ve made it too obvious about his own abilities.

ZZH was shocked on the side, finally realizing it was a non-ability user. Also finding it incredible - he had finally found another master (high ability user) but why was he so arbitrarily controlled by an ordinary person?

CH30

NY once again asks the water ability user (same guy as before) for water. Him and his sister are both ability users.

Bathing in water made by ability users helps relieve some of the pain QJC feels from the fever…

NY is kicked out of the bathroom, finds ZZH at his door wanting to apologize and ask NY to teach him. He’s upset at ZZH, but also remembers that in the last life, he was also one of YS’s opponents and died a bit early. Thinking here, he feels that he can let him off, but still needs to teach him a lesson. He agrees to teach him, saying that General Zhao actually asked him to teach them anyway.

NY brings ZZH back to the training grounds for ‘training’, ZZH’s tragic screams are heard everywhere. Other ability users who had also wanted to test out the newcomer NY come in to see the scene of NY tossing ZZH around. Originally unconvinced, they watched as NY completely dominated, his control over his abilities seemed to be infinite…

Anyway they were won over.

QJC came out of his bath and saw the situation in the training field, laying on a chair to watch the show.

NY brings out a list that ZCQ gave him of people he felt were absolutely loyal, 10 people + his original team. They go into a gym for private training, with NY picking QJC up on the way. NY teaches them how to cultivate, helping them get started on sorting the power in their minds. He also gives wind users some tips on how to create a wind blade, which is really strong later on. They promise to keep the training methods secret.

While they’re training, QJC says he’s hungry, everyone watches dumbfounded as NY uses his fire ability to cook for him… seems strange? But NY solemnly tells them that it’s a way to train control.

CH31

ZZH also wants to try, but can’t control the fire and burns a hole in the pot. Fortunately there are metal powers there to repair it.

QJC has no sense of existence, but with NY spoiling him so, everyone notices. NY introduces him as his lover shamelessly, QJC has already kissed him, he can definitely say it like this!

But it’s still strange to see a person like NY take care of someone like that…

NY doesn’t care. He continues to help them start on their cultivations.

When they’re done, they go back to the apartment, NY starts planting seedlings and seeds. SZL is excited about having fresh veg to eat, until NY dashes the dream by saying it’s only enough for one person.

PSC also returns, bringing news that SZL’s parents are dead… she vows to kill zombies to pay them back for what they did.

Next day, NY and them went back to the base, which is also called Base #2. Only the wind powers are there training, everyone else is doing tasks. Wind users still can’t figure out how to do the wind blade, but the QMF who did secret training with NY yesterday is obviously stronger.

NY continues to help the chosen people start cultivating, after three days, everyone has been able to start. Last person to start is ZZH, because he had exhausted himself too much in their fight the first day.

Everyone is training hard except for NY, who is worried that if he continues to power up his fire powers, there will be problems when his water powers awaken. So he feeds QJC instead, but he feeds him duck that tastes bad. He throws up. NY to the side gives him some water prepared by another ability user… QJC says he’s fine, then tells NY to pour that water over himself.

NY is puzzled. QJC repeats himself, telling NY to douse himself with the water.

Everyone is shocked – NY made the food, QJC doesn’t like it, so NY has to douse himself with water?

NY recovers from his daze, understands what QJC is actually trying to do, and asks the water power Ding Shengshi to use waterballs to soak him in order to ‘exercise his powers’. He makes some fireballs around him, then DSS ‘waters’ him. Over and over.

ZZH starts looking at QJC like he’s his idol. Making NY suffer with a casual sentence, this guy is too amazing!

NY was watered all afternoon, and actually started to get a sense… Afterall, for him to awaken a dual ability, he has to have the innate talent. Now that they haven’t yet found the grass that would awaken it, he can slowly find the familiar feeling by being in contact with water ability users’ water.

At night, NY soaks in a tub of water. The water ability users that have been providing them with water the whole time (same pair of siblings) were amazed again.

The sister, Yu Yuehui, tells the brother Yu Xuguang (yep the guy who exploded QJC’s garden in the last life) to stop speculating and pack up, but YXG unexpectedly collapses.

But before the doctor can come over, he wakes up, hugging Yu Yuehui and saying “Sister! I can finally see you again! We need to be siblings again in the next life!” His sister slaps him on the head and takes him to the hospital for examination.

CH32

Yu Xuguang was dragged to the hospital. After a check up he realized he has been reborn! Reborn to a time before his sister died!

Although the apocalypse has already happened, it’s still early, he can make preparations, change a lot of things, save his sister.

At the very least, he must not allow that dark mysterious evil BOSS make another bloody massacre!

In the early days of the apocalypse, even though things were getting worse, it wasn’t hopeless. There was a small safety zone with a drug that could enhance powers, slow down beserk abilities and even resist the zombie virus. Major security bases also got together and worked out methods for cultivating the powers. Finally, with the assistance of that medicine, some people were even promoted to being fourth level powers.

Everything was going well, but suddenly the dark ability user came from nowhere, calling zombies to destroy the base that manufactured the magic drug, killing most of the researchers, and all the research materials. They could only save a few ability users.

Nobody knew who had caused the zombie attack, but B safety zone offered a high reward, and most powers were eager to catch the man.

At that time, his sister survived her powers going beserk and reached fourth-level. She could condense ice arrows, her powers also changed. She joined a team to catch the man, but a lot of ability users were wiped out overnight. His sister was amongst them.

His own powers were very weak at the beginning, but towards the end of the world he became one of the strongest… it had a lot to do that time when everyone died overnight…

He vowed to avenge his sister, but the dark lord was too strong! He confronted him many times but lost every time. Later, only water produced by ability users could be drunk, his role became too vital, and he could only stay in the safety zone. People died one after another. He didn’t want to die, he wanted revenge, he got stronger until one day he was the strongest on their side.

Then he went to find the Lord of Darkness. His self deonation didn’t hurt the Lord of Darkness, but destroyed something else instead and killed one of his men. He remembered too that at the time, he released all his energy, but the Lord of Darkness suppressed it a wave of his hand.

He’s really too strong… and people by his side cannot be underestimated. If he’s allowed to grow in the future, the human race will definitely go extinct!

Yu Xuguang was anxious. He really wanted to find the man, but he didn’t know who he was! Their righteous side had always been looking, but nobody ever discovered his identity.

Wait…

He didn’t know who the Lord of Darkness was, but he did know of Nie Yi, the most trusted man under him. According to their information that was found later, he was actually blackened by their own side.

Nie Yi as son of the head of security of B zone, made a lot of contributions. NBY was very good to the illegitimate son YS, but was harsh with NY. NY’s powers were going beserk at the that time, it was very severe, but when they got the elixir from the safety zone, NBY gave the elixir to YS to eat instead.

NY has been soaking himself in water endlessly. His skin is pale and bloated, but he was still ‘cruel’ to himself and asking the military water users to ‘water’ himself. For his water powers, he must persevere! But he still has to do things to take care of QJC such as carrying water for his bath, watering the plants…

YXG is shocked at NY’s appearance when he comes to get water, someone on the side tells him that his bloated appearance is because he’s found a strong lover that is causing him suffering on purpose. The rumour is: NY being a fire power, made food that his lover thought was bad, so he told NY to pour water over himself as fire & water are natural enemies. NY has been watered for two days, but is still going…

Others confirm the story, saying NY fell out with his father NBY because of the lover. YXG is shocked, he had heard that NY was good to the lover, but to this extent… he also finally learns that all the water he gives to NY is actually for QJC’s bath.

The water abilities that NY developed later… it couldn’t actually have been developed through the bullying of his lover, right?

^ waaaay too much happened in one chapter. i love how this is developing, i particularly like how the same story of what happened in the past life is told so differently from each character's. and everything links up!! and no plotholes yet!! *amazed*!

No, actually ... I haven't gotten that far ahead. I wouldn't be surprised though, what with the

giant hints at a mass rebirth and the fact that the "strange magical powers" all showed up without a known source.

I do hope it doesn't end up like Rebirth of MC because that one got really wack at the end. BUT i'll enjoy it as far as i can, since so far it seems pretty well thought out~

Your summary is as detailed and amazing as always. I'm actually not into pessimistic character but idk, the way you summarized the story makes it really interesting and makes me look forward for further character development. I'm really excited on what will happen next. (ฅ>ω<ฅ)♡

No, actually ... I haven't gotten that far ahead. I wouldn't be surprised though, what with the

giant hints at a mass rebirth and the fact that the "strange magical powers" all showed up without a known source.

I do hope it doesn't end up like Rebirth of MC because that one got really wack at the end. BUT i'll enjoy it as far as i can, since so far it seems pretty well thought out~

My curiosity got the best of me so I binge listen on this. Reached the chapter 180 and I have to say so far it is good and interesting. Well though out and I hope it will continue so.

Turn out to be a summon of people from a fantasy world with magic etc. Those people were in a treasure field called god battlefield and looking for god artifices when they got summon by Yao who was trying to raise the dark god.

ML and MC suspected that the battle of the Light and Dark God (which cause the aftermath of the battlefield that those cultivators was searching for war spoils) happened at a space crack, which is how those cultivators fall through to MC’s world. The energy of the dark god went inside the space crack and caused the apocalypse

Edit: switch cultivators to magicians, that’s how mtl called them
And these people came from magical fantasy world
