CH33

NY comes back to the apartment to see QJC carefully watering plants with a ladle, gets jealous of the plants that get QJC’s care. He wants to be treated like the plants! So QJC pours a ladle of water on his head.

QYY and the others laugh. NY is happy that QJC is at least showing some spirit, and he has to soak himself anyway…

NY asks Xunan how their people are doing, he earlier had sent them out to do some tasks, sweeping for materials outside. It’s a trade – NY supplies two ability users & weapons, Xunan and them go, and they split everything in half. NY is technically well off now, but to develop his own forces, he’ll need to spend…

QJC is potting a lettuce.

NY thinks about YXG blowing up the old garden and is angry again, but QJC doesn’t hold a grudge – he had wanted to die.

At this time, NBY is angry. Everyone knows NY is back and that he’s his son, but now gossip about him has spread everywhere. Everyone knows about his lover, but NBY just found now 30 minutes ago – people blaming him for letting in his ‘adopted’ son and kicking out his real son, and everyone knows that NY is being ‘bullied’ by his ‘fierce’ lover, getting watered and bloated every day.

Anger turned to resentment. Back home, Mrs Liu is also dissatisfied. Apparently NY’s mother was bitten and turned into a zombie, not directly turned into a zombie when the apocalypse happened. That must be due to carelessness. She obviously sides with NY over NBY.

YS comes back to NBY’s house too. He was the one who made sure that rumours about NY and his lover spread.

NY of course also knows, but he doesn’t care. Everyone knowing that QJC is his is also good and he has no regrets.

At this point he’s already taught what he can to the 10 people he trained specifically, they have train hard to improve now. So he walks through the base with QJC in his arms. He’ll need to work with these people eventually so it’s better to show his face now. He spars with people that come up to him. They were originally really respectful of him, but due to the rumors, started to disdain him – how can a strong man be bullied by his lover like this?

Anyway, he beats them up even without using his abilities. And then he makes the water users ‘water’ him again. (They call out waterballs and douse him lol)

At this time, he hears, “Yu Xuguang, this is Base #2.”



CH34

NY will never forget the name Yu Xuguang – most powerful ability user of the other side at the end of the world last time, they didn’t regard him and QJC as humans at all, labelling YXG ‘the most powerful human being’.

YXG sees NY looking miserable and wet, imagines his lover must be really amazing.

He finds QJC sitting in the shade and stares at him, can’t help but like him. And admire him. He has no powers, but is willing to be so arrogant. Isn’t he scared of dying?

He remembers a girl from the last life, also treated like a princess. She ended up raped and killed. For QJC to do this, is he so confident that NY will protect him? But then, facts have proven that NY is that kind of guy even in his last life.

At this time NY is jealous, wtf is YXG doing staring at QJC! He realizes he didn’t recognize YXG because in the last life when they met, YXG had scars on his face. Angry, he snaps at the water users to stop throwing waterballs at him.

People think it’s because he’s done with his lover. But actually, he just wanted to attack YXG. He gets interrupted by QJC who asks him 你想干嘛？ What do you want to do? Realizes he’s too impulsive and obediently stops. People around them once again think that NY is really whipped.

QJC tells NY to come over, and then pours the bottle of water that he held in his hand over NY’s head. Everyone is silent from shock. NY even bent over so that QJC could pour more conveniently!

YXG Is also shocked. How is this even the same person as the cold and angry NY who would even kill over minor disagreements in the past life? Once again confirms that he will work hard to make sure it doesn’t happen in this life!

QJC doesn’t see the point in remembering grudges from the past life. NY just feels at ease being told off by QJC. Seeing him lower the empty waterbottle, he even subconsciously wants to fill it up so that QJC won’t be thirsty.

… And he does.

His head starts throbbing, he thrashes around, QJC dodges away (people think he’s useless, angering his boyfriend and then hiding when he’s in pain) so that NY won’t hurt him by accident. He wants to die, but not by NY’s hand.

NY just squats on the ground holding his head. In the last life he rolled around with pain, but he’s become more tolerant now. He moans…

YXG actually feels happy seeing NY in pain – he hated him from the alst life. But it turns into sympathy. For NY to love such a person as QJC, no wonder he was betrayed. Then he realizes that NY must be awakening his powers.

Really awakening his powers after getting punished by his lover…

People are shocked as they start to realize too.

NY’s powers settle, worried that people will bully QJC while he’s incapacitated, NY forces himself to stand up, tells everyone he’s now a dual ability user.

QJC comes over slowly and kisses him again, tho NY is reluctant, QJC gives him no choice. Feeds him blood again and then tells him to go clean himself up. The blood helps stabilize the powers – it seems the effect is even stronger than the last life.

NY can only summon a water ball to douse himself and even filled up QJC’s water cup.

YXG is shocked, decides he must not let QJC betray NY!



CH35

News of NY’s dual ability spreads everywhere. Meanwhile ZZH and some others are also trying to get ‘watered’ every day in the hopes they’ll awaken water powers.

The water powers also want to try it with fire powers, but… “we’ll be cooked.”

General ZCQ also comes over to confirm the news. Simultaneously yells at the stupid ZZH for being stupid – better off learning to be better with the fire powers he already has!

YXG by the side suddenly speaks up. He’s decided to tell ZCQ about cultivation methods and says it out in front of everyone. ZCQ is surprised but doesn’t show it, taking YXG back to his office to talk about it.

NY and QJC realize they’re not the only ones reborn. It seems that rebirth is based on their time of death. Whoever died later will come back earlier. NY thinks it’s a bad thing – so many people hated QJC back then, if they’re born again won’t he be in danger?

Though not everyone would be reborn anyway if their theory is correct – some people may died too early, and might already be dead before they’re reborn.

ZCQ sends someone to fetch NY. They go over and he tells them YXG’s cultivation method is the same as theirs. NY tells him to keep it secret and give YXG the credit. He uses the excuse that he doesn’t want his dad to know that he knew a way to cultivate but didn’t share it. Especially because he didn’t want to benefit YS.

ZCQ accepts that reason. They decide that the 10 people who were originally taught by NY will be assigned to his (NY) team, and ZCQ agrees.

QJC says that YXG is too simple. NY agrees, but it was also unnecessary to play these political games by the end of the world last time, all one needed was power.

They return to the apartment and find that everyone’s trying to soak themselves in water …



CH36

NY is happy he can cuddle QJC to sleep now. With his water powers, he’s not too hot.

NBY learned about the news of NY having a dual ability. He’s also blaming NY’s change in attitude on QJC. He regrets driving NY out. He could’ve brought him back, but back then he had wanted him to suffer a little before letting him come back so that he would be more obedient. He had dreams that NY & YS together would develop good feelings for eachother and help him expand his power base…

But ZCQ took in NY and now he’s a double ability user.

He also learns that the military side claims to know how to develop their powers. He goes to see ZCQ. Other leaders feel the same way and head over.

Meanwhile YS has also heard of it. YQQ (YS’ mother) also asks about it. Their relationship is strained, YS blames YQQ for not making him a legitimate baby by marrying NBY back then. And the husband YQQ picked also treated YS badly. They divorced, but damage was done. YS was always jealous of NY for having what he couldn’t – even YQQ’s ex-husband purposely pointed that out.

YS decides to go look for NY and his lover.

The next day, morning. NY & QJC get ready to go out. NY fills up the tub for QJC with his water ability, and washes his face (with the awakening of his water powers, this task becomes very simple and fast – throw a few water balls into his face, and his face instantly becomes clean)

They go to Base #2, followed by JH (jiang huai) and SZL. They were stopped by a good looking youth, 17 or 18 years old. They say that they’ve always liked Nie Yi, and want to follow him. Everyone looks at eachother blankly. NY ignores him directly, only telling QJC “Don’t worry, I won’t look at others, my heart only has you!”

QJC rolls his eyes.

The shamed teenager leaves after trying again but gets a water ball to the face.

They see YS at Base #2. He comes over and says he wants to talk to NY, NY rejects him directly. YXG also comes over and sees this scene, rushes over to separate the two and kick out YS (in this little guy’s innocent world, YS seduced NY’s lover and caused the whole extinction of mankind)



CH37

Anyway, YXG is set on his path of making sure that NY & QJC never break up. Also… although him and NY were enemies in the past life, seeing how NY looked in front of his lover, he feels that he’s suddenly… not angry anymore.

YS realizes the guy who showed up is the one who said he knew how to cultivate.

Although the base leaders had met and agreed to share the information, it would take time & the shortcut was right in front of him! But YXG is having none of it, kicking YS out of the base. NY doesn’t know why this guy is acting this way, but still follows him inside.

YS stands at the entrance, reflects that NY’s lover is gorgeous, amazing skin. NY… is really a lucky person.

NY convinces YXG to wait till everyone is back from their tasks before teaching. He settles QJC in and then starts to train with Qian Mingfeng (wind user who is still left behind). Meanwhile YXG sneaks up to QJC and introduces himself. NY is watching – he knows nobody knows who QJC was in the last life but his existence in this lifetime doesn’t fit with last life’s storyline…

YXG works hard to convince QJC of how amazing NY is and tries to drop unsubtle hints. QJC was puzzled, then realizes that YXG thinks of himself as Yan Zhe…

Well, their situations are similar. And this way is fine for him and NY.

Certain that YXG doesn’t know of their rebirth, he falls asleep in the middle of conversation with YXG。

Jealous!NY comes over and spars with (aka beats up) YXG and tells him to stay away from QJC in the future. YXG wisely evaluates his own powers against NY and decides to stay away for the time being.

QJC suddenly tells NY to keep YXG around. NY agrees to keep him around to watch him and make life difficult (jealous).

QJC also tells him to go find Qi Yin. Qi Yin is a child that QJC picked up back then, and died in YXG’s original suicide attack. If YXG is reborn, won’t QY also be reborn?

NY doesn’t like the guy because he spent so much time around QJC (jealous). Secretly decides to not look for him.

NY tells the team that he trained to stay quiet about the fact that they know how to cultivate already.

YXG teaches Base #2 how to cultivate. Everyone but the 10 people NY taught listened attentively. Afterwards, NY brings those 10 with him to start doing tasks out of the city. He intends for these people to be his core team.

The next day, they’re all ready to go, and QJC is still in NY’s arms… people are shocked but NY tells them they refuse to be separated from each other. Originally, he would’ve been okay leaving him in the base, but with the additional rebirth(s?), he dismissed the idea.




CH38

That same day YXG also rushed over to base 2 in the morning, but discovered that NY didn’t show up … was told that he had taken people out to do tasks.

YXG is depressed at how useless he himself is at the beginning of this life, starts cultivating.

NY & co took two trucks. NY didn’t drive but sat in the compartment, killing the zombies that approached. ZZH asks why they didn’t take a closed-compartment truck where they could relax inside. NY tells them it’s training for in case zombies start being able to cut open the steel backs.

Meanwhile QJC is sitting in a soft sofa in the compartment, hugging his coffeepot lettuce plant, drowsy. People find it strange – so many things to plant, why a lettuce?

Their goal this time are the hospitals and pharmacies.

NY leads the way QJC in his arms, despite the burden he still fires fireballs into zombie’s heads, super badass. The military ability users were originally pissed about NY bringing QJC but seeing how NY handled the zombies so easily, they couldn’t say anything. Also, even some of the military users were scared by the zombies, but QJC was expressionless. The team was forced to revaluate him.

Next few days is still the same, clearing hospitals and drugstores, collecting other materials along the way. But the biggest gain is the team cohesiveness. The team also became more serious. Afterall, zombies used to be people.

NY was also somewhat depressed, he can feel the zombies getting stronger. Others can’t tell, but he can.

“So it’s better to die early.” QJC suddenly speaks.

“No way!”

Looking for a place to rest that night, find survivors. They find even people in the kitchen, four look healthy, three are tied up. But they also see… skeletons with no meat.

NY’s eyes go red, and even QJC’s expression turns cold.


CH39

NY always remembers how QJC looked in the previous life. No meat on his body, almost like a skeleton, because his flesh had been cut off.

Seeing NY was silent, one of the four standing people spoke up, “We are ability users! We can help!” faces full of joy at being rescued.

ZZH: “What did you guys do?” QYY and others are throwing up.

They have killed many zombies, but have never seen something as disgusting as this.

They blamed the people they ate/kept captive as the reason they were stuck here in the first place. Angry, NY puts down QJC and kills the four people in moments. Then tells the team to take the three survivors and leave. He washed himself clean with water balls, then picked up QJC.

The three survivors look very young, expressions blank as though they didn’t care about anything anymore. SZL consoles them, and learn their story. The woman is the teacher, the boy and girl with her are students. They were stuck in the hotel due to the cars on the road & zombies. The hotel had water, but food ran out. The ability users not only ate the flesh of the people they killed, they also forced survivors to eat so they could have a reserve supply..

As everyone on the team is horrified, NY picks up QJC and goes into the bedroom. People are shocked – how can they even want to have a night life when things like this are happening? Little do they know that NY has never had such luck..

NY: In the future, can you not hurt yourself anymore?
QJC: What?
NY: I don’t want you to kiss me again.

NY hugs QJC tightly, his heart beating fast, hands still trembling. QJC didn’t know what to do. Although that feeling of giving his blood and flesh was horrible in the beginning, he didn’t think much about it as time went on. The two times he kissed NY, he just felt that it was needed, so he did it, and didn’t feel any discomfort or anything. But it seems NY doesn’t feel that way…

That night, QJC was strangely willing to stay in NY’s arms the whole time.

The next day, they continued to get supplies, even saved some more people. No more disgusting situations like that day, even one that was a granny who only wanted them to save their grandson. They saved the granny too.

Day three, they started their return.

On the road, they hear gunshots. Approaching, they see the military fighting something. But instead of telling them to come help, they told them to run, run! But how could ZZH and them run? They came over and started to help. The military were happy to see they were ability users and told them the situation.

They encountered weird zombies, they could shoot out black fog and call other zombies. If humans were touched several times, they also turn into zombies.

They wanted the incoming team to go take the news back, and also General Li’s son. As long as they did that, they would stay behind to stop the zombies.

NY’s face changed. Second class zombies! The black fog they spewed was everywhere last life, if anyone without abilities breathed more than a couple mouthfuls they became zombies. Ability users are more immune. If they are injured by level one zombies, a small wound is nothing and won’t have any effect. Breathing the fog will also be fine, but if they are injured, they will still become a zombie.

Last life, the level two zombies hadn’t yet appeared at this point in time. Why is it here now? Or was there, and he didn’t know?

QJC doesn’t want to live. With this piece of news, convincing him will be even more difficult!

NY uses a fire dragon to beat back the zombies. In the jeep the military were protecting, a young man in his twenties was watching, his attention focused all on NY.

@kiara8 that sounds kinda like the story went off the rails into weird-what-the-hell-happened-land.

 

@xiin so the Alternate Universe (AU) is a fantasy magical land with gods and magicians, warriors, elfs, orcs, and Warcraft (mtl word).

The Dark and Light God obviously don’t get along so there was a war between them. I forgot if other Gods joined or not.

A space crack, either made by the fight or already there at the battlefield beforehand, is there. The Dark God’s dark energy went theough the space crack and arrived at MC’s world, which caused the apocalypse.

In the war, the Light God’s artifact is lost and so did the Dark God’s artifact.

The AU’s Son of the God, or whatever you call him, is called Lance. He went through the space crack in search of the artifact, which is the Mirror of Light (?).

The MoL, in fact look like a normal stone when not in use is in MC’s hand. So Lance tell MC to go back with him. MC said that he want to stop the spread of the dark energy, and Lance said he’ll help. He and his escorts, a Warrior Lord and some other magicians, went to find the source of the dark energy.

They arrived at the south, at Antarctica. There was a dark energy source but it is too strong for Lance to get rid of it. They suspect that it is the Dark God’s artifact. Lance and the others sealed it up.

Meanwhile, MC translated the AU’s version of the Light God’s bible into CN and English. He noted that the Bible really brainwashed people. No wonder in AU, the people that have affinity with light energy is low but the Light God believers is still in the majority. MC took the brainwashing stuff out and put in more equality stuff in there. Including stuffs like “homosexuality is a OK!” And he tell his underling to mass-print this.

They went back to MC’s camp and tell him this. MC, not wanting to go to AU, said that he want to save the world. So MC and ML plus several other ppl and Lance’s group use wind magic to travel all over the world to save people and gave them MC’s version of the bible. Along the way, MC did some thinking and believe that if he go to AU, he will get more power and eventually purified the Earth of the dark energy and upgraded to lv 7.


Edit: if you have mtl any CN novels and it have the Warcraft named as the beast that people must get rid of, then you know that’s the base of the AU

 

This story is pretty interesting, i'm tempted to mtl to read...but i just finished mtling reading a danmei modern fantasy smut recently, so i probably will put this off til after i reset with normal translations for a bit lol~.

Li Wei is the person who made weapons and plotted against ML with his half brother? A guy, and have a crush on ML
Water ability siblings: reincarnated younger brother who later self destruct to kill Yao villain, destroyed his core, went into a coma, wake up stupid and gain light ability; and the older sister will travel with MC to AU
Shao Zenglan the earth user is a girl, marry another guy who was used to bait ML by Yao villain
Ping Shaocheng is a guy and marry another fire ability guy later (group wedding, MC proposed to ML), manage the base later on when MC’s group go to AU
Two bodyguards should be both guys, gained abilities later on but not much is mentioned again
Guan Jiayu is the MC’s sis’s friend who betrayed him in the last life? A girl, she have to sell her body later on

 

Since the story seems interesting so far, I tried to mtl. This one is easy to understand.

Chap 40
- ML defeated the zombies and saved the army. He beat second class zombie with exploding fireballs, a combination of fire and water abilities. Second class zombie could turn people from zombie with black fog
- ML met Li Wei, his old acquaintance. They knew each other since childhood. Li Wei was surprised to see NY with QJC. LW didn't know that ML like man.
- ML cooked vegetable soup and congee for MC but MC refused to eat those. LW and the army were stunned to see the scene but since ML just helped them, they keep quiet.
- ML and the others entered B city safety zone. Guan Jiayu (QYY's friend who left them) was there. She was shocked to see QYY there.

Chap 41
- ML and MC usually slept together on the same bed. This time though, MC felt ML's boner. The situation turned awkward. ML tried to change the topic by asking MC what did he want to eat. MC told him he want fish.
- News about second class zombie spread in the base. Yu Xuguang also came to inquire about the zombie.
- ZZH used the opportunity to scare him by telling about their encounter with cannibalism. But much to ZZH's surprise, Yu wasn't scared at all because in the future due to lack of food, he had seen man eating man to survive. However that kind of approach was quickly shunned. If human ate other human to survive, they would lose their humanity, What was their difference with the zombies then?
- Yu Xuguang tried to ask ML's opinion about this, ML replied that, 'those people should be killed, (cause ML won't forgive anyone who tried to hurt MC)
- Yu was relieved. In his sadly misunderstood mind, he was glad that ML was so positive now. He must reached success so ML won't stand in the opposite of mankind
- There were works at base and people got point reward based on the level of difficulties. ML got many points from his last mission. So he shared his points with the team. ML was reluctant but his friend persuaded him, so he gave points to QYY, MC's sister.
QYY used those points to buy potted flowers for MC since MC liked those kind of things. At market, she was seen by Guan. Guan was jealous. She had found out now that MC was dating ML (people in base thought so) and since QYY was MC's younger sister, she also enjoyed easy life now. She plotted to make ML like her.

 

Chap 42
- QYY gave the yellow rose she buy to MC. MC was kind of happy since it reminded him of his childhood where they were close and happy. ML saw it and as usual, got jealous. He later went to to buy potted flowers too for MC. The yellow rose was put in other place, together with the vegetable.
- Guan tried to make scene so QYY will notice her. QYY did but she was reminded of the time when Guan left them and took away their rice and food. QYY ran way, leaving a stunned Guan. Guan later then went to ML's place, pretending to seek QYY so she be allowed in. The guard refused to let her in.
- QYY told her brother about Guan, telling him that Guan wasn't a good person. ML heard it and later went out to ask Guan's address.

Chap 43
- ML actually was very angry. Guan was MC's enemy. How could he let her go? ML went to Guan's house at the middle of the night and killed her. He destroyed the body with fire ability.
- Unfortunately, his act was caught on camera. (back then, Li Wei and Yu yao came to see ML. Yu Yao saw that ML was suspicious so he ordered people to tally ML and even installed camera at Guan's house). The recording was low quality anyway so it couldn't be used as evidence.
- The base had TV and radio station. So news about missing girl shocked people. Was it zombie's doing? Was people safe? What if this happened to them?
- Yu Yao also showed the recording to ML's dad. Dad recognized ML straight away.
- Yu Yao later went to see MC, bringing with him bunch of flowers. MC refused it, saying that he disliked it. Yu Yao was confused. Didn't MC like flower? MC like living flowers not dead one.

chap 44
- ML burned the flowers, almost burning Yu Yao's hand too in the process. However Yu Yao was secretly delighted because he found ML's weakness which was MC.
- Yu Yao told ML that their dad want to see him. ML retorted why dad doesn't come by himself and has to do it through Yu Yao.
- Yu Xuguang was worried for ML and MC's relationship. He thought that ML should do something to Yu Yao. Show that over protectiveness!
- ML attacked Yu Yao. He beat Yu Yao. "Do you guys think I don't dare to kill him?" ML didn't kill Yu Yao because he couldn't drag MC into the problem now while MC was still weak.
ML apologized to MC because he was impulsive again. He knew that this matter would spread to the whole base. However, one day he would kill Yu Yao.
- NBY saw Yu Yao's beaten face when he returned and got angry. Yu Yao's plan was actually to sow discord between ML and his dad by making as if MC was the bad person who poisoned ML's mind. He also spread rumors on the base.
- ML, MC, his friends, Yu Xuguang all heard the rumour. ML had different opinion, He actually wanted to leave since living in safe place stunted his growth. He wasn't as powerful as before. Xu Yuang offered to dispel the rumour but ML warned him that Yu Yao was close to radio station.
- ML, MC and his friends finally left the base. Their destination was small base in the west of the city.
