Now I've been reading some leveling novels/manga's but I've caught up with most of the translations. I'm looking for some novels with a real badass male protagonist that isn't just badass in battle but outside it also. It's fine if the mc has a good sense of humor/goofy/clumsy but overall I don't want him to be some skinny beta male friends=power mc. Basically not most Isekai like protagonists. Don't recommend me isekai novels unless they're not Japanese. I prefer if the translations were at least 50 + Examples: Solo Leveling - literally my favorite manhwa by far. So if you know something similar to it than please recommend me it. Novels work also! Mc is a pansy at the start but he does get real badass over time. The Gamer - Kinda. A Monster Who Levels Up Edit: I just noticed the title does say leveling but it doesn't have to be about protagonist leveling. Just needs action and maybe some romance . Don't recommend me any chinese manhwa/novel cause that shit is just to slow for me. Only recommend it when there isn't a person to offend every arc for it to progress.
Ehhh if we’re talking leveling there’s “The Land” series it’s U.S but has a leveling system and it’s pretty good.
Ehh I’m just starting out with the first one myself through Audible, takes longer but hey it’s free for the first book. Not sure where you can get the others for free. I’m prob just gonna buy rest of series so I can fill my fix.
Please make your reading list public. Korean: Reincarnator King of the Battlefield Dungeon Hunter Seoul Station’s Necromancer Evolution Theory of the Hunter (probably most similar to Solo Leveling, not saying it is, just saying its concept is close) Everyone Else is a Returnee Chinese: The Amber Sword - nobody to offend, this isn't xianxia, this is actual western setting. But there is a lot of lore. Japanese: Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? - Yes, japanese but it is really good. MC is a monster. Just look at the rating.
Tempest of the Stellar War The fights are awesome and he is pretty perceptive in stuff outside battles. The only downside is its still pretty much tournaments the entire way so it might not fit if u want unrestrained fights, slaughter Etc. Romance isnt bad i guess. Forty Milleniums of Cultivation. Action is real good, it has a short tournament phase before moving on to unrestrained all out fights. Romance is good when it appears but uh, it appears too little of the time. Spoiler Romance was quite short in vol 1, and is pretty much non-existent in 2, and will probably pick up halfway through vol 3.
