    What do you mean kidnapped?
    Edit: NOOOOOOOOOO. NOT LIKE THAT!!!
Taming master was so good... F*#& the sneaky copyright stealer.
Edit 2: Its QI. Duh... I wonder if they would steal existing translations again or retranslate from the scratch.

There's no kidnapping involved if the author is the one accepting it.

Seeing the "ransom" you have to pay to read on QI, it is kidnapping alright.

Well. Seeing that it is QI involved, it makes it even worse for the novel.
My original frustration was that somebody "cherry picked" novels with following to exploit it. (Which is still true in current situation)

they could probably do it in a better way tbh but considering the translators are the ones who are taking someone elses work and usually makes money off it without consent arent they the ones kidnapping?

Imagine being that delusional. If it wasnt because most translators break the law, you’d have to pay to read every single novel. What horror, huh?

well it's qi, but since they're the one who won the bid to publish those novels. There's nothing much we could do with it

What a horror indeed. Somebody tries to speak from a 'moral' high ground. What are you doing here even?

the "paying" is not problem. the problem is the uncertainty. like Otherworldly Evil Monarch. Expensive yet no different from unedited MTL.

Pffft, so someone calling licensing a novel “kidnapping with ransom” is trying to lecture me about trying to talk from a moral highground? Lmao. Atleast my “moral highground” doesnt stem from delusions and being spoiled by free novels.

You don't understand metaphors do you?
I'm perfectly aware of the legal situation conserning fan translations. And I don't rally people to read pirated stuff.
I also have a right to be frustrated at the way things are. Particularly that the only legal way to read that novel now is to go to infamous QI that overprices, underdelivers qualitywise, and uses shady spirit stone schemes.

that right. Pirates or not, in the end all that metter is the real translator. if they stop, there no use join Pirates Crew and searching for "One Novel".

as someone that have read many novel should understand some times you need curse someone to release some frustration. the standard for Moral is something you should decide for yourself.

"legally kidnapped" is a form of kidnapping and still applies to what I say.

There's no ransom involved if the story isn't yours to begin with. The license is sold to qidian and qidian decided the price, whether we like it or not. If the one who sold the license did it against their will, it would be a different story, but...

As if you pay them with real money. Saying it's expensive but still use multiple account and underground reddit.
