Do you know any real news media? I don't know if you noticed when you know about something that's on the news you see what they report is like 70% bullshit if not straight up lies just to make up a story.
I mean, I just straight up take anything any media outlet says with a grain of salt and if it's that important to me, look up multiple sources to see if any common ground can be found. Basically, ignore every single opinion that they force into their article and fact-check it with other sources. If it's not, like I said, take it with a grain of salt. Even the most non-biased media source try and tell a narrative. That and pewnews.
You have to deduce what the news media want to say from multiple sources and think about what actually happens on the 'accidents'
Well no media channel is fully honest but some of their shows are good. There is Mr. Ravish Kumar in NDTV India who presentation and news are easy to understand. The way he present news is such as your are listening to your neighbour. He makes you that comfortable
Most news outlets are credible when it's not about politics. They're mostly biased when the stories can be manipulated into political discussions.
Well, you don't want "news" for the "truth" anyway, unless it's something that you truly cared about. What you are watching from the news are no different from "reading stories".
what the fuck. I dont know if this thread is a joke or not but man are peopke starting to doubt news outlets?
Three types of news generally Says what the political / military / government leaders want them to say Says what their financial owners / backers want them to say Says what they actually believe the public wants them to say
Aint you the sweaty balls guy? Still has dat problem? Btw speaking of moisture, how abt using silica gel?
It's not easy to create an objective news outlet since the opinion of the authors also flows in to some extent. Nonetheless some try to write their articles as objectivly as possible. One can find a list of those unbiased news outlets with a quick google search.
Well what I'm talking about is mostly local news like fires, car crashes, accusing someone from unreliable sources before the police did the investigation... because no way I'd know the real story behind the big news. But people talk about the small news, and you can always see them in the comments calling their bs. These news and reporters should be sued for throwing dirt and lies all around, but juicidal system doesn't work here unfortunately. Every once in a while they report a police bust on some small stash of weed like it's a dangerous drug, the comments are always the same : "Why don't the police prevent actual crime and not confiscate some harmless substance that's bound to be legalised anyway. Half the people I know smoke weed ffs, no one thinks it's a drug, even those that don't smoke. Why don't you report real news, and not make a big deal out of nothing everytime?" I was once naive to give an interview what I would be doing on hollidays as high school graduate. I told them among other things I'd hang out with friends at my friend's "tavern"(it's a synonim in my language for a basement with booze, no actual customers go there, it's just for friends). They wrote a full page article about me with a big picture, saying how I'd go from tavern(pub) to tavern getting drunk.
If it isn't about politic then the News Media that got funded by the government and didn't need views to get paid will be reliable. They won't lie about the news because why would they? The increase in views would not help them get paid more. Politic? No luck, try foreign News that didn't involve with the mess?
Read news from both- famous left and right media. Actually, both give similar info other than the topic title. Most of the biased things we see are in 'opinion' section
