Hm, I'm not sure this is the story where you'd look for a lot of face slapping... The ML's philosophy tends to be focused on levelling up so that the people who look down on him quickly become like insects to him and get forgotten. MC is actually the more vindictive of the two of them, though being a support class, he has to be roundabout with his revenge.

Trying to think of all the noted "antagonists":

    - Previous posts already mentioned how they punished the family of the twin that MC took the identity of. That was at MC's request when he discovered the young masters who caused Qi Tianyou's death were in the capital. ML then carried out his wishes and their victims didn't even realize who was behind their misfortunes.

    - There was a rival young master in the first world, Helian Xingcheng who was especially antagonistic to ML. ML mostly avoided his attempts to try and kill him, and then when ML showed up all healed and with higher cultivation ability, he silently goaded the guy into a frothing jealous rage, causing him to make a fool of himself in front of the emperor and eventually not getting any of the spots for going to the Qingyun Sect. He was pretty much gone from the plot at that point.

    - During the Qingyun Sect arc, there was this guy Lu Jiusi, who coveted MC's pill making skills and tried several times to kill ML or break them up so that he could get MC under his banner. Our boys pretty much saw through him immediately, and used their friend network to destroy this guy's power base, and he eventually ended up in jail. By that point, our boys had already moved onto the next world and ML had already forgotten about this guy.

    - The 3rd prince who split them up on the Road of Death only had that one showing, really. After MC got sucked into the rift, ML pretty much went berserk on him and nearly killed him. One of his rivals then spread the details of his ignominious defeat far and wide. He doesn't show up much after that.

    - On the Central Mainland, there was that girl Mu Baizhi who had nefarious designs on ML. But because she was tied to the underlying conspiracy plotline, nothing happened for a while other than ML telling his sect about her and the sect sending out investigators. Wasn't until near the last few arcs that they had strong enough backing to come and arrest her and the rest of her kindred. After that, she became a guinea pig for MC's experiments on how to reverse the effects of their cultivation leeching ability. After that, she was executed by the family of the girl she'd harmed.

    - In the modern world, MC and ML pretty much crushed the family who had taken away MC's father and imprisoned him for over a decade. Not so much killed them but paid a bunch of rivals to attack their businesses, and destroyed any nascent cultivation ability in the family. That was pretty much a straight curbstomp since they were definitely overpowered for the modern setting.

    - Back in Central Mainland, ML had a brush of death with the grandfather of an evil cultivator he was sent to deal with. I think this was mentioned before already. When ML went missing, MC snapped and put up a bounty with a lot of rare and high quality pills, causing large swathes of the cultivating world to pretty much capture/exterminate the family in question. He used the remaining captives to force the evil grandfather to kill himself, and then crippled the survivors of their cultivation ability.

After that point, I don't think anyone bullied them. There was the long term revenge against the main branch of MC's biological family, but that was still a slow and ongoing project even by the end of the story; something of a dangling plot.

Xu Ling Xiu? So he and MC become really good friends during arc 3 at Qingyun Sect, and he was one of the candidates who chose to travel the Road of Destiny (aka Road of Death) to the Central Mainland. He was partnered with an unnamed martial cultivator for the journey, but his partner probably died somewhere along the road. XLX was about to be eaten by a giant mutant death plant himself when he was rescued by the Prince of Zhou (who was a peer and rival of the Third Prince guy, and the guy who spread the ignominious defeat of the 3rd prince by ML far and wide). After that, XLX became a personal alchemist under the Zhou Prince.

MC and ML caught up with him after they returned from the modern world and just happened to land in the Zhou Kingdom. MC thought the interactions between XLX and Zhou Prince were kinda weird, and ML theorized that the prince might have a thing for XLX, and the regard might not be unreturned. (Ironically, MC didn't think much of the Zhou Prince as a good partner for XLX, just like XLX didn't think much of ML as a good partner for MC originally.)

Later they met again at an alchemist party held by a young Pill King, and XLX got taken in as the personal disciple of that Pill King.

Then skip to arc 13 when MC and ML returned from the Heavenly Imperial Palace to recruit more participants to compete at the Thousand Tribes Pagoda. They had a few extra spots reserved on the boat for their family & friends, and XLX was one of the people who they invited along to spectate in person at the competition. Presumably MC also introduced him to his alchemist peers at the Heavenly Imperial Palace during that time.

Then skip ahead some more to late arc 14, XLX and Zhou Prince showed up about a secret cave they found which had good stuff in it for alchemists. They were only able to get through the outer layer of the cave, and originally wanted help from ML to get into the inner chambers. ML was away though, and MC offers to go with them (his cultivation had gotten to a point where he's got good offensive abilities now). He helps them get through all the challenges at the cave. It turns out the cave was created by MC's teacher (ie. the emperor level cultivator that created the Grand Medicinal Palace and his arts), who had a premonition way back then of her impending death, and thus made the place to hide a large portion of her physical(?) embodiment(?). Fate had led MC back to the spot, so he can absorb the...thing, which got him one step closer to being able to (sorta) revive his teacher back to (semi-)life.

Then skip 10+ years or so more to the end of the story, and there's a mention that after the climax fight was over and ML went into his 100 year coma, MC stayed with him for a year and then checked in with friends and family. At that time, he attended the wedding of XLX and the Zhou Prince. By then XLX would've become a Pill King himself, since that was one of the preconditions they set for their marriage. Then timeskip 100 years later, and XLX was mentioned as attending MC & ML's wedding.

Can i ask about this whole femme fatale ”tiandao” girl they first met when ML went to the 1st mission of subduing a yuan beast... it was the only female who has the ice phoenix physique but when ML and MC went to this one event of gathering stone eggs, they discovered that the woman was actually sort of preying on strong people absorbing their power... upon reporting it to the lord of the blood temple, ML’s first master, they uncovered a huge conspiracy of women who replaced some locals and used that new identity to marry powerful persons... what’s the secret?

That ties into the major story plot that is uncovered in the last two arcs of the story, and it ends up tying together with a lot of other seemingly separate story threads.

Once upon a time, the Villain Boss became an emperor level cultivator, but still wasn't satisfied with his 120000 year lifespan and wanted more. He also learned of an ancient forgotten secret, where a cultivator could merge with the Root of a World, in order to have the same lifespan as that world (potentially indefinitely). Normally, a cultivator can only potentially merge with the world that he was born from, since that's their "mother" root and the only one attuned to them. But this Villain Boss looked down on his birth world as too low level and didn't want to merge with that world as his first choice.

So he hatched a plan to steal the talent/potential of cultivators from other worlds in order to "acquire" their attunement and be able to merge with the Root of another world. And to gain power. His tool to do that is the race of seductresses that he created from his mad science. He would seed large numbers of cuckoo-women on various worlds with a lot of potential power, and they would go out and seduce male cultivators of great potential, and steal that potential via sex. Eventually, once the amount of power they steal from the population hits some critical mass, the cuckoo-women would perform a mass sacrifice, sending all their accumulated power to Villain Boss. The side effect of doing all this is that the average power level of the world would drop the entire time the cuckoo-women are leeching from its people. Also, if the Villain Boss doesn't intend the world to be the one to merge with, the sacrifice rite will also cause the world to quickly lose all lifeforce; all living beings on it would die and the world itself would crumble.

About 100,000 years ago, Villain Boss targeted the world that became the fragments of Central Mainland, Tianwu, Cangyun, etc., at that time a world called Hongming. At that time there was a single emperor level cultivator (the last one until ML) and his group of powerful followers living on the world, and they managed to discover what the cuckoo-women were doing. They attempted to purge the world of all cuckoo-women, and this attracted the attention of Villain Boss.

There was a fight and Villain Boss was forced to retreat. But the shockwaves of the fight also severely impacted the Hongming world and it started to break up. So at that time, the emperor guy and his followers (they called themselves the Sky-Support Alliance) came up with an last ditch plan to save the world. They created a series of rune-wards that bound all the fragments of the world together, and then collectively sacrificed their lives and remaining lifespan to power it.

Now, either their previous purge of the cuckoo-women missed some stragglers, or else Villain Boss eventually sent some scouts back to Central Mainland (the largest remnant of Hongming). However, because of previous experience with that world, they operated much more low key than on some other worlds.

Mu Baizhi, the Ice Phoenix Fairy, is actually the daughter of a cuckoo-woman agent. Apparently all female children inherit their mother's abilities and personality. About a month after birth, she stole the cultivation potential of her twin brother by instinctively biting him. Then at three years old, she came across a mysterious powerful cultivator lady, and abused her trust to steal her power, and her family abetted her by imprisoning the lady in the dungeon so MBZ could repeatedly steal her blood.

ML was obviously a great target for her, but unfortunately he consistently showed negative interest in her. Then MC and ML learned about the MBZ's power leeching ability and the lady her family imprisoned, from the servant of MBZ's twin brother. Once they reported that up the chain, their sect launched an investigation of MBZ's family and found that her mother is not the person she claims she is, and most likely replaced a dead girl's identity.

During the Tianjiao Cup, MC put a slow poison and a tracking powder on MBZ so that the sect could more easily investigate her to find out what kind of organization her mother comes from. But later on, they learned that the powders were mysteriously removed, implying that this organization has powerful backers. That was one of the reason why their Sect kept doing further investigation but didn't move on any of these people, because they didn't know how much backing the organization had.

Now skip forward to arc 13 or so. One of the top human competitors and his guests show a lot of resemblance to MBZ. Or rather, to the appearance of the lady that MBZ stole. After the competition, MC and ML talk to him about MBZ, and they find out the lady that MBZ stole from was very like this guy's missing fiancee. With this excuse in hand, they invite this guy and his family + warships over to their world to rescue the girl, and capture MBZ and her mom (the rest of their sect/family is also punished).

From interrogating MBZ's mom, ML and his sect were able to get further information about the size, location, and identities of many cuckoo-women. MC also uses them (and many of MBZ's ex-boyfriend victims) as guinea pigs in order to create a cure for their power leeching.

I know I might be annoying people with this but I have to ask: The kid definitely just comes from some stone egg they found and both fed blood to, right? There's nothing m-preg-y about this novel? (Asking now before I get further into it, just to be sure.)

The story is mainly told from the MC's point of view, so most of the time we can only guess at what's going through ML's head. The author did confirm in the comments section that ML finally realized his feelings have become romantic in chapter 326. MC then has his epiphany in chapter 328. So it was about the same time. This was when they reunited after being temporarily split apart by that third prince guy on the Road of Destiny.

Though, if you ask me, the two of them have been subconsciously flirting with each other since they met. They'd just been too thick and too inexperienced to realize it earlier.

There's a lot of sweet moments. Actually the story is filled with fluff. The rare instance of angst in the story pretty much exists only in the MC's head because he's a worrywart with occasional tunnel-vision problems. I'll list some of my favorite sweet moments though......

    - When they first arrived at Qingyun Sect, they were at this dinner with some inner sect disciples in order to arrange a business contract to sell pills. MC got a little drunk off the magic alcohol they served. He's a sleepy, obedient drunk, so afterwards he just wobbled around and parroted everything ML said to him. ML carried him back to their place on piggyback, but felt that if he put MC down onto the bed immediately, MC might wake up again and feel uncomfortable. So he walked around in the yard with MC on his back for an hour or so waiting for MC to settle into deep sleep. His longtime bodyguards were shocked at this behavior, because the ML they knew always held some emotional distance even with his close family, and would never lower himself to personally care for a subordinate this way. I'm pretty sure at that point the two of them realized long ahead of their master that MC is going to someday become their "mistress", lol.

    - The entire arc on the Road of Destiny (aka Road of Death) was supposed to be this trip full of suspense and infodumps for the next map change. But honestly it's hard not to see it as a plot-driven romance catalyst. The unique dangers of this place meant that MC and ML had to maintain physical contact at all times. This means in the day ML carried MC on piggyback for the entire journey, and when resting at night they basically napped together in a half-embrace. Then somewhere in the middle, MC starting making a breakthrough while they were in the middle of running away from some enemies. ML told him to go for it, because they need all the edge they could get, and that he'll handle the rest. MC then went through his breakthrough, and when he became aware again some undetermined time later, they were holed up in a cellar somewhere, and ML actually looked a bit roughed up, while he was untouched.

    - After the duo reunited on the Central Mainland continent, MC fell asleep on ML's shoulder while chatting about their experiences while apart. ML let him sleep in his embrace (this was the point ML figured out his feelings), and stopped his entire entourage outside the city for a couple of hours until MC awoke on his own, using his hand to shade MC's eyes from the setting sun to avoid waking him up earlier. Then, after they retired to their new home, ML showed off the inner residence that's reserved for just the two of them, designed in the same layout as his original villa where they first met, winning huge nostalgia points. Then ML, who was already trying to feel out MC about romance, made "innocent" suggestions like they should take a bath together in the hot springs...and wash each other's back...and sleep in the same bed. It was just too bad that MC was concentrating too much on not revealing his own newfound romantic interests in the face of such temptation.

    - Some time after they returned from a side trip to modern Earth, there was that incident where ML was critically injured by the grandpa of some evil cultivator, and was forced to flee into and get stuck in the void. Of course, being protagonist, being stuck in the void means encountering some OP treasure to boost him to the next level. But while that's happening, he sends his projection back home to let everyone know his status. Unfortunately, because he's projecting his consciousness past the dimensional barrier, the connection was spotty at first, and the projection was running more on instinct than reason. What this means that the minute he (the projection) sees MC, he rushes over and starts kissing/molesting him... while in public on the front steps of some random guy's house. MC manages to prevent him from stripping him in public, and quickly ushers him home. He also quickly detects that the projection is just an energy form, with no internal organs and thus isn't actually capable of sex, and is bewildered that the projection is still trying to drag him into bed. They end up having this serious conversation about what's going on with ML, all the while MC is sitting in ML's lap trying to keep from getting molested. Thankfully (sadly), ML's self control eventually catches up with him (mostly)... but not before basically outing the two of them in front of ML's teacher.

    - The first time they actually do the deed was actually on MC's initiative. Actually, it was due to the unexpected side effect of his newest technique, which basically turned off his inhibitions. Of course, since he was in bed with ML at the time (they'd been sleeping together platonically since they'd confessed their feelings), this meant he immediately tried to molest ML. ML obviously realized that something was off, and was trying to coax him to wait. Then MC grabbed his...well...and ML lost control for the second time in his life. Anyway, the morning after, MC's regained his control and remembered everything and was mortified, but then ML walked in carrying a tray of basic porridge (that he'd made himself), and teased MC about covering himself when he'd already seen everything last night. And then while MC ate the porridge in the daze, ML had to occasionally prevent him from putting the spoon up his nose or dipping the bowl over.

If you mean sex, it's generally fade to black for the act itself. Some of the...events...in question do go a bit into the foreplay/afterglow, and there was one or two hilarious instances where MC & ML attempt to have a serious conversation in the middle of the act. But that's about as risque as it gets.

This isn't a story you read for smut. Now fluff, on the other hand... this is the story you read if you want cavity-inducing dog-food, everywhere, all the time. Lots of flirting and innuendo, lots of fluffy slice of life.

Ah, Shen Yuanbai, the hidden protagonist of his own story, lol. But no, by the end of volume 13 tournament arc, he'd only managed to worm his way to becoming BFF and life & death comrade to ML's master. However, said master is probably the only one who still hadn't realized that this guy has been trying to woo him all this time, and keeps accidentally friendzoning him. After that arc, SYB doesn't really show up afterwards, so we have no idea if he managed to chase down Xue Li in the end. It's one of the most demanded extras/epilogues from readers, but I don't think the author has any plans to write more for this story.
